Unlike many other reviews of this location, the person that helped us was courteous and answered all questions we had. The truck ran great (although the roof tended to get noisy during high winds on the highway), no issues getting it through a 1200 mile drive. Return at the other location went smooth, with credit given to this Budget office for giving us all the info we needed for the return ahead of time. Overall, it wasn't the newest truck or trailer out there, but the experience and savings compared to Uhaul made it worth it. Would use them again for pick-up.

I arrive at the rental location at 4:34 p.m., thinking there wouldn't be a problem. As it turns out, the location on Garden of the Gods closes at 4:30 p.m. Why would Budget allow you to rent a truck when their locations close at 4:30? I did find one location open until 5 p.m. on Galley Road. I arrived at 4:58 p.m. (just before they locked the door) and asked if I could transfer my reservation to that location. I was told they didn't have any rental trucks available and even if they did, their system shuts down at 4:30 p.m. I ended up going with Uhaul and canceled my Budget reservation. The customer service representative was extremely rude when canceling.

She told me I could take one of their brand new 15 passenger vans if I was comfortable driving it. I was like HELL YA!!! This thing was like one of those Sprinter Vans, so we named it the Party Bus. After High fiveing Joyce, Joe, Renee, Holly and then giving Larry the stink eye the A Team was off to USAFA for parents weekend. When we returned they checked me out gave me a receipt and this really cool lady named Holly jumped in the Party Bus and ran us to the airport. They issued me a truck to move over 1000 miles that was damaged, and charged me 8x per gallon for the entire trip back they had to take to repair their OWN truck. I was promised a refund because under CONTRACT it states that was what I was guarenteed back as a customer. Instead they tried to charge me for the rental and all the gas as well as the tow. I refused and received countless UNAUTHORIZED transactions from my bank account from them going against what their OWN supervisors had signed off on (my refund). They then lied to my face, told me that there was no such thing in their contract, EVEN THOUGH I had been on the phone the previous night with 2 supervisors who had confirmed and signed off that I would be refunded. This company lies, and claims that when they can't refund you money, its because its out of their district. I hope none of you fall into their trap.
