After almost every store in town we didn't expect to find anything the size or quality level we were looking for. No matter, Sydney showed us the Stressless things we can no longer afford and then sent us to the sale room in the back with a suggestion of what we might like. I did get to tell management what we thought of Sydney, but it bears repeating. She is a gem. There is it was, a medium sized, real leather covered, obviously well built sofa on sale at a price we could afford. They had it in stock with or without the sleeper option! The warehouse loaded us up, telling me what would be required to unpack and put the feet on. We are very happy and would buy more if we could. You never know... Since we had never used the protection we went in today to see what our options were in terms of reclaiming the $120 we spent on the plan. Right off the bat they told us it had been 6 years. They made it sound like we should have been in there right after the plan expired. We were told they would honor the plan (reluctantly) but we had to make a minimum $500 purchase. Even though there were several people at their service counter, no one was real eager to help us. One guy said he would be with us after he finished with the customer he was working with. After wandering around the store a couple of times he finally came and helped us. We asked about manual recliners because all we seemed to see were powered recliners. He showed us a couple and was rather pushy about them. None of them really caught our eye. We asked about fabric options because what we saw really didn't catch our attention. We got the strong sense that that question annoyed him. In the end we left frustrated and unimpressed. I guess these guys get $120 in free money because after today I refuse to give them another dime if I can help it. There are other furniture stores in Billings that have better sales staff. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. We have had some positive experiences with them in the past with some bedroom furniture. Unfortunately the sales person that helped us with those purchases has moved on.

I bought a mechanical Flexsteel recliner with lumbar support, sat in it for two days, and raced back to the store to buy the reclining loveseat and end tables. Went BACK and bought more tables and hallway furniture. High quality! The Flexsteel support is superior to anything I've ever purchased (back doesn't hurt anymore). Staff was so helpful from the multiple purchases all the way to the warehouse pickups (we didn't choose delivery). Our Sales Associate Keith Walker was an exceptional help for us, and Rachel called to walk through the entire order with us to make sure our pickup went smooth (since we went back 3 times). Overall, I am 100% satisfied in the quality and customer service -- and have officially transferred my furniture loyalty over to Conlins.

The tags are easy to read, dated by when the item came into the shop, and anything over 90 days is on sale half-off the ticket price. The racks are sorted by item and then by sizes. Twice as nice makes it as easy as possible to find things. I didn't see anything in the designer/high-end category, but I imagine if there were, those items would go quickly. Despite that, there are nice pieces, gently worn. Like most shops of this kind, it can be hit or miss on locating something, but it's still fun to explore. It's not too big to be overwhelming and not so small as to be overlooked. Twice as nice accepts items for consignment as well, so it works both for offloading things in your closet and picking up some new pieces to add back.

It's organized, far more so than other stores of its kind. Things are sorted by category, and labeled with prices that are both reasonable and expected. Some items are straight from old, classic diners (plates, salt and pepper shakers and creamers) and others are obviously from well-loved collections. It's the pictures though, from when color film first became mainstream along with old black and white photos where no one smiles, that's a little sad. Maybe the things in this shop belonged to those people, but it's still unfortunate that these unknown people have had their pictures tossed into a basket at an antique store for others to ogle dispassionately. That's weird. Broadwater is still a nicely organized shop with things you expect to find as well as things you don't. With new inventory rotating in, if you see something, don't wait, it may not be there.
