No more specials, no more chefs own. Popular dishes were removed and before long the Pub began to attract a very different crowd. Basically the place went 100% boil in the bag. For example I once ordered the mix grill only to find they didn't have any So I asked from them to just give me what they could from that dish they said they couldn't - basically the mix grills come in a bag so even if they have the separate components for other dishes they can't put it all together! Another annoyance is that once you were allowed to go to the bar to order your food. Now however you have to wait for a waiter/waitress last time I visited we waited 10 minutes so in frustration I went to the barman to be told he couldn't take the order and we'd have to wait. So I went back to my seats another 5mins the waiter finally turns up. If it's not broke, don't fix it!

It truly is a real village pub with great beer, good food and a friendly welcome. The landlady was very polite and we felt at ease when asking for food. Only had a sandwich but that was plentiful and tasty. Will definitely go back there when in the area and due to it's location if I can blag a ticket to the festival next year, will reside there for liquid refreshment. We were visiting the UK recently for the first time in 9 years and wanted to get together with Friends and Family for a large meal so we settled on the Clock Warehouse. We booked a table for 8 and were seated immediately upon arrival. It was our servers first night so there was a manager shadowing her and she did really well. The food was great as we expected it to be and service was almost perfect other than we ordered Dessert and it took so long ( almost 30 minutes ) that we ended up cancelling it and finding alternate arrangements. Especially disappointing for the kids in the group but that was an excessive amount of time to wait for Pudding / Dessert. They were very apologetic and took some money off our bill but I am deducting 1 star for that. Beautiful place, good food and easy to get to. Recommended.
