I put a deposit on the new one and in the course of the conversation mentioned that I had an older wig for now, and they told me they could style it. I took it in and about two weeks later (because of thanksgiving) I got this magical thing back, looking like a million bucks, and even with purple glitter!!! Under new ownership and a slight name change, Fifi's offers a variety of unique & custom wigs in a range of styles, colors, and lengths. They will even trim your wig for you and also sell cute accessories too. Owner Tommy is delightful as was the young lady assisting in the shop. She helped me with trying on the wig that I selected and explained how to maintain it. The wigs are good quality and will last a long time with proper care. A wig can transform you into someone else and even boost your self-esteem. Plus, they are great for when you are having a bad hair day. I think wigs are fun but never had the confidence to wear one aside from Halloween. That all changed when I sat in the chair and put one on. The darling associate asked if I wanted to wear it out. I said, "Why not." I received so many compliments while walking around the Quarter. I felt good about myself and my decision to "go for it!" I have brain cancer and have gone through Chemo, 2 brain surgeries, I started with 1 brain tumor…read morewhich was removed with surgery in 2011 (located in my right frontal lobe) then I was given radiation, 4 years of chemotherapy and lost all of my hair at that time. I then got few wigs at that time and learned how to wash/dry them and style them. I was then tumor free for the next 5 years up until this March 2016 when my brain tumor came back in the same area! I then had to have another brain surgery this past March when my brain tumor came back I had to have it removed with surgery. I then had radiation, chemotherapy. I lost all of my hair again so having to start all over with my wigs and bald head again. I just moved back to Mandeville from Denver and found this store to help me with my current wigs and The owner Lisa was so helpful and amazing!! Without her I would be lost. I have been able to wash/dry my current wigs and I now will go to LM Salon to style my current wig and will recommend this salon for wigs and cancer patience moving forward. I purchased this new premium wig (shown in photos) from Wigs By Tiffani but quickly discovered the…read morehair was dry and knotting/tangling at the nape. This is a new wig I've worn six times -- only twice outside my house. It immediately started knotting at the nape within the first hour of wearing it. I washed and conditioned the piece (with the brand's own product) once, but it didn't help. In fact, the hair after washing and conditioning was even drier and clearly over-processed. The wig was strawberry blond when I purchased it, but upon washing with color safe shampoo, the red shade bled out. I contacted Wigs By Tiffani with these photos back in June and explained the dryness, the color bleed and my chief concern: the knotting/tangling at the nape. They responded to my email by saying the hair at the nape is prone to rub against clothing and therefore tangle. But I have purchased approximately $10,000 in new wigs from this company over the past four/five years and none have this problem. Furthermore, if the wig is prone to tangle and knot, it should have been disclosed in the sale listing. It was not. They finally agreed to inspect the wig for problems if I mailed it back. However, once they received the wig back they said they carefully inspected the hair at the nape and found nothing wrong. They gave the wig a "complimentary" condition and said it was fine now and they were returning it to me. When I asked to confirm it would no longer tangle, and they said it wouldn't -- but that I'll need to basically comb through the hair at the nape every five minutes while I'm wearing it to prevent knotting/tangling. So it was not fixed. Nonetheless, I got the wig back and within one hour of wearing it, it was knotted again at the nape. I took more photos and then reached back out to report I was still having problems with knotting. They don't respond for about a week until I followed up and said again I want the hair at the nape replaced or a different wig or I was considering filing a PayPal claim and that I would include photos of the other wigs I've purchased from their brand -- some that are years old and none of which have knotting/tangling at the nape. I asked for a refund but they said no. Then, they said because I'm a "good customer" they'll now replace the hair at the nape, but it might take three months. Three months on top of two months emailing about the problem. I feel like they are stringing me along and hoping I'll give up. I've been told by a private wig vendor the knotting at the nape indicates low quality hair with the cuticle stripped -- and that a stripped cuticle cannot be repaired no matter how many or what kind of conditioning treatments. I have now mailed the wig back again and requested a replacement, but it's been a week and no response. If you are a wig retailer and you sell a (repeat) customer a bad wig, admit it and make it right. This is incredibly poor, really disappointing customer service.

On Sunday evening, I researched wig consultants in Metairie/New Orleans. One, in particular, stood out...HSU!!! One look and read through their website and you instantly feel like they're the place for you! (Please take a look!) I called on Monday and Amber answered....Yayy for Amber. She's got amazing southern charm, very informative and had an appointment for my mom the next day. My mom, my daughter and I arrived for her appt and felt comfy from the moment we walked in. HSU, in mindfulness of covid, took our temps, had us sign in, ensured all were masked up, and even freshly sanitized pens for us to use. Amber walked the salon with us, walked us through the process and helped us pick out wigs that may be just right for my mom. She was patient, kind, supportive and never rushed us. She assured us that what they didn't have, they could get for us and that we could make adjustments to wigs including color, lengths, bangs, etc. I'd say my mom tried on about 10 wigs or so and felt very comfy the entire time. (This was huge for such a humbling moment in life!) We learned about the different types of wigs, different types of wig hair, wig prices, how to wrap the existing hair, how to take care of the wig, how to put on securely and comfortably, and how long to keep. We fell in love with 2 and had the full support of Amber who was honest and, again, informative and compassionate and just all around helpful!!!! Amber, our gem, and HSU have helped my mom and our family to breathe easier and to give my mom a boost in confidence, comfort and beauty which she so unbelievably deserves!!!! I cannot share what a great experience we had with Amber and HSU, and we are excited to have found a new resource for my mom. Thank you SO MUCH Amber and PLEASE keep positively changing the lives of those with hair loss due to cancer and other health reasons! You and the biz ROCK!

She was also quite disrespectful and had me on the phone with her for 5 minutes talking in circles on why she wasn't sure of her own inventory.
