We recently hosted a Cinco de Mayo party for around 40 people. Lo and behold, the main attraction was the margarita machine rented from the Margarita Masters. We used the Margarita Gold mix, which everyone complimented and loved -- so much so that we went through two batches of it! Brenda and her team are wonderful. Although Brenda's voicemail was not working, we were able to easily communicate with her via text message and e-mail. Her delivery team was also prompt and courteous (for both pick up and delivery). We received so many requests to make this party an annual party, which I'm sure was in big part to the Margarita Masters. One thing is for certain -- when we do this party next year, Brenda from Margarita Masters will be the first person I call. read more

I would highly NOT RECOMMEND this company. I work for a highly reputable Fortune 500 company and reached out to these people to help with an event. Not only did they not show up at their scheduled time. They did not answer phone calls. After 4 hours when they were supposed to be there, they tried to call and drop of their machines. It was laughable, unprofessional and a hoax. This company has poor scheduling, poor communication and just simply does not show up! Do not call them. Instead call Metroplex Margaritas...they saved my event by showing up last minute, within 20 minutes of the start of my event and they were less expensive!! First of all I am not the person that you dealt with I was someone that was at the party. More shocking is that you are a business person and you are supposed to be a professional and you put something like this on a public website... Shame on you. I called and placed an order for a machine four days in advance. I told them I needed it for a Saturday morning party and they told me "no problem, we'll be there an hour before the start time". They missed their arrival time, and didn't answer the phone for an entire hour. Once they answered, they said they didn't have a record of my order, then after discussing, acknowledged someone dropped the ball. They said they'd call me right back and never did. I want to be completely fair with this review, so I'll start by saying that the margarita machine that was delivered to my party was exactly as described on the website. Margaritas were ready within just a few minutes of starting up the machine, and they were delicious. I chose Margarita Masters because it was clear from the information on the site that they use commercial quality machines and this proved to be true. So if I were scoring just on the quality of the product, I would go with a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, there is more to the story. My event, a couples' bridal shower, was yesterday (3/15/14). When I called to reserve the machine, a little over a week before, the very nice lady I spoke to said there was a machine available and I would receive a call on Friday the 14th to let me know when to expect delivery. I called Friday morning since I had a busy day and didn't want to risk missing the call but was told that the delivery schedule wouldn't be ready until the afternoon and they would call me later. I checked to make sure they had my cell phone number and went on with my day. When I still had not received a follow-up call by 6:30 that evening, I began calling. I left several messages verifying the party time--6 p.m.--and requesting a return call NO MATTER how late. I received no response and began at this point to realize I might be in trouble. On Saturday morning, the day of the party, I called around 10 and left another message. Within a few minutes I finally received a call. Again, the lady I spoke to was very polite and apologized for the failure to communicate. I reminded her--as I had in all the messages, that I had guests arriving at 6, and she assured me that the machine would be there at 5. Fast forward to 5:15. No machine. I checked my cell phone and saw that I had missed a call at 5:06, so I called that number, and sure enough it was my delivery guy. I was prepared for him to say he was running a few minutes late. I was not prepared for him to tell me he was just now packing up his machine and bringing it from lower Greenville in Dallas on the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade. I live in far north Plano, a good 35 minute drive when traffic is light. On this day, with parade traffic and thunderstorms, we were looking at an hour or more. At this point it was clear we would not be able to serve margaritas as guests arrived. I called the business number and spoke to the lady there. She was apologetic, but said she didn't think our party started til 6:30--an irrelevant point since delivery had been promised at 5:00. She also offered a 10% discount. Bottom line, the machine was finally delivered at 6:30, With another 15 minutes for setup, we were finally able to serve our guests around 6:45. I won't even get into the issue of a rain soaked delivery guy rolling a Rubbermaid cart through my home in the middle of a party. Not exactly the ambience I had in mind. So for a 2 hour party, we had the use of our rental for a little over half the time. A 10% discount hardly seems adequate. My beef with Margarita Masters is that they were not honest with me about their ability to deliver what they promised. The young man who made the delivery told me that most of their machines were committed for the parade. Evidently he was following somebody's orders in staying at that location past the time my machine was to have been delivered. At any time, I could have been told that there was going to be a timing issue so that I could have made arrangements with another company. And certainly on the day of the event, I should have been contacted long before 5:06 to let me know there was going to be a problem.. I am convinced now that when I was promised a 5:00 delivery, the person I spoke to knew full well that there was no way that machine was going to arrive on time. My advice to anyone considering using Margarita Masters for an event would be to schedule the delivery several hours before the time you actually need it. I would also recommend a written contract with specific discounts outlined for failure to deliver services as promised. My assessment of Margarita Masters is that they have a great product with lousy customer service. I would not risk using them for an event that mattered to me--and that's a real shame. read more

The machines they rent are great. The mixes offered are not grand. Make your own mix. They advertise that any unopened mixes can be returned for the purchase price. But, really it's close to impossible to contact and communicate with them. I had to call/email three times within a week to request the refund. After no response from Brenda, I was pushed to be ugly and gave her an ultimatum. I finally did get a response saying that she had been out of the office due to illness. I guess business stops when the boss allegedly gets sick. They advertise that the machines will be picked up the following day. Don't plan on that happening either. I waited around the party venue the entire day waiting to hear from the delivery truck driver and eventually had to call him myself. He said he would be out the next day to pick up the machine. I had to insist that he come that day because I don't live at the party location. And, I wasn't going to make a special trip back to the venue the following day to meet his needs. He eventually agreed and came to pick up the machine. In a wrap, the machines are great but the communication and customer service is very poor. read more

Not masters by any means. Called to confirm delivery on Friday for Sunday party. Was assured everything would be on time for a 12pm delivery. Called at 12. No answer Called at 12:15. No answer. Called at 12:30. No answer. 12:30 driver calls to say he will be late. No kidding. You are late. Driver shows up at 2pm in the middle of the party. Wheels in 1st machine. Drops second machine on his foot. Needs attention from a doctor, nurse and police officer that were at the party. Leaves without setting up second machine or leaving the straws. When I called him he said he ran out and did not have any more. Thanks for telling me. Called the office and left a message. I still have yet to receive a call back. What a Mickey Mouse operation and that is an insult to Mickey. Do not use this outfit. read more

Very poor customer service. They were very late in notifying me of delivery time and made it hard to plan on event day. When delivered they tried to collect more money than what I was quoted. I called the office and they said, "Oh, sorry." Machine froze up half-way through my party and never did thaw out! Lots of wasted margaritas! The machine they brought me was a "cylinder" quick freezing machine and might be good for a large event when being used constantly but was not good for my smaller group. Plus, the mix was on the sweet, tart side and there was no way to add more water or anything else. I think I prefer top-loaders from now on and now that I know the difference! I was told they would be back on Sunday, early afternoon to pick up and they would call an hour out. The kid finally called at 5:45 pm and said he would have to pick up on Monday! That was not acceptable! My event was in the clubhouse of my town home community and I could not leave the machine there any longer and I had to turn the key in that evening! He finally showed up about 7 pm on Sunday after I had been waiting all day. There was a pager number on the machine but it went to voice mail and I sent emails during the day. It is now Tuesday and I have not heard one word of apology or any comment from these people. I have been renting margarita machines on an average of twice a year and this is the worst experience I've had. Unfortunately, the companies come and go and it's hard to find one and stick with it! read more

We first hired this company in January for a 4 day event involving our Furniture business. The company we rented from for years closed their business; thus forcing many companies in our building to find another source. Everything seemed great in January until we found remnants of a broken Tequila bottle left on the floor near the machine, along with tequila soaked paper towels waded up. There was tequila splashed on the furniture nearby as well as glass scattered. One of our employees had to clean up the mess and Margarita Masters had to replace the broken bottle. The delivery guy never told us about breaking the bottle. The same 4 day event came up again in June; so we rented 2 machines again. First, we had to follow-up numerous times to even get confirmation the machines would be available. Then never received the formal Invoice via email as requested multiple times. It wasn't until the day the machines were delivered that we were handed the Invoice; at which point we discovered they had DOUBLED their rates. So we went from $135/machine in January to $325/machine in June. When we called them, they claimed that was their "Summer Rate". However this rate was never disclosed in the multiple phone calls and emails leading up to the June rental. Day 3 of the June machine rental came around and we turned the machine on at Noon. It came on, but then shut off and would not come back on. We followed the trouble-shooting instructions on the side of the machine with no avail. We called Brenda to let her know about our troubles with the machine. She then had the delivery guy (Clinton - her Son) call us to trouble-shoot. We followed his instructions: checked the liquid quantity, checked the breaker and outlet, etc. It still would not come back on. In addition, the day prior, a piece somehow broke off the machine when no one was near it. I called Brenda back and requested the machine be picked up. Around 5pm, Clinton showed up to retrieve the machine. We unplugged it assuming he was leaving right then. Instead, he worked on the machine in our store, plugged it back in and turned it on. Then proceeded to turn around with a full cup of Margarita in hand and took a drink, announcing that it worked. We instructed him to take the machine, that we didn't want it anymore. He asked if the machine in our other store needed to go as well. We said no. He then said he was taking it anyway! We told him NO again at which point he began insulting us, saying we "ripped them off" with the pricing and that they would never do business with us again. The entire confrontation spilled over to our other store, in front of customers. Clinton was asked multiple times to leave the other store to finish his conversation outside the store, but refused. He continued insulting us and falsely accusing us. To say we will never do business with them again is an understatement. As a representative of Margarita Masters, Clinton is extremely unprofessional and rude. If you choose to rent from this company, good luck. We gave them 2 chances and they failed! read more

I do not recommend this company. We had a party last Saturday night. Brenda told us the machine would be delivered between 11AM and Noon. At Noon, not having heard anything from them, I called Brenda and left a message - I called again at 12:25PM and Brenda answered. She told me they were running over an hour behind - no heads up, and she sure didn't care. When I said we had other obligations, and now had to stay and wait for a late delivery she snottily asked me if I would rather cancel. No apology, no "we'll make amends." When the machine was delivered, we were told it would be picked up Sunday around Noon. They showed up at 6PM Tuesday, no call ahead, no heads up. Zero customer service or concern. It was quite the hit at our Margaritas and Fajitas patio party recently. The machine worked as promised and the margaritas were great! There were a few issues with the delivery, as the machine was used for a happy hour in an office tower downtown. Luckily, the biggest issue was that the machine arrived an hour before its scheduled 4:00 delivery time, causing us to scramble to accomodate. Overall, a great product that arrived before it was supposed to is better than the alternatives. My only concern is the difficulty the delivery guy had getting around in Dallas, which is where the deliveries are mostly going - seems like other users had issues with the delivery people as well. read more

I have used Margarita Masters for about 7 or 8 years for at least one function per year. I did my research and tried several other company and mixes and MM is by far the best! The delivery is on time and they call and text to make sure everything is in order. If you need help with the machine, they callback promptly and solve the problem. We used Margarita Masters for a bachelorette party and a friend of mine has used them on numerous other occasions as well. We got the peach Bellini and it was delicious! Delivery was on time, and bellini's were ready and flowing for us to greet the ladies with! We didn't have any problems using the machine and there was more than enough to go around!
