They set transparent expectations up front around arrival/setup/service time, chatted through the various taco and side options, aligned quickly on the quote, and every step through the event was just made incredibly easy. BE WARNED!!! I contacted Juan at La Antorcha back in May for an event early Sept. He confirmed he was available and quick to send me an email quote. We also arranged for him to come to our house so that we could try his tacos. His food tasted good so we confirmed that we wanted him to come in Sept and asked if he needed anything. We even showed him where it would all be set up. We shook on it and I reminded him to let me know if he needed anything. All he said was to contact him at the end of July to reconfirm the number of guests. Early August I contacted Juan again to confirm the number of guests. And got no response. A few days later I reach out again to reconfirm the food order. All of a sudden I am told that they have committed to someone else and can't cater our party. Excuse me??? No one ever contacted us between end of May and beginning of August. You penciled us in and gave us your word!!! Unbelievable. This is how you run a business? If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy caterer I suggest you look elsewhere. If you decide to give La Antorcha a try you will need a back up caterer because they will pull the rug right from under your feet!!! read more

We were at an event for a friend's baptism yesterday that La Antorcha catered. First of all, they were the sweetest and nicest people, and they had to be outside in the cold, windy weather, but were still so friendly and positive. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had the carne asada and the shredded brisket...the flavor of both was amazing. I would definitely recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them the next time I have an event that needs catering. This was our first experience hiring a taco truck. La Antorcha did not disappoint. La Antorcha provided great service and was very personable. The food offering was plentiful and delicious. The only hiccup we had was the miscommunication about the food. We made some changes to our order and the changes were not made. We would recommend verifying your meats and package order before your event. Despite this hiccup, the food we had was delicious. Out guests were raving about how delicious the food was and kept going back for more. Definitely would have La Antorcha cater another event again! The measure of GREAT food is - would you go back. Two years later and we were hosting another backyard gathering - this time for my son's first communion. We didn't even think about asking anyone else. Some of the common guests from last time (mostly family) were asking if Mauricio would be back.
