Not knowing we needed an attorney ahead of time we called nicks office on a Friday morning, spoke to Mallory who was extremely helpful by arranging us a meeting with Nick only a few hours later. He not only took the time to help us with what we thought we needed but went above and beyond to point us in the right direction and provide us with the nessessary tools to further resolve the issue. I have never been up that high with such a beautiful view of the city. I was Immediately relaxed when Nick came in very promptly to assist my family with the documentation we needed. He made us feel very comfortable and confident in what decisions needed to be made. All in all, I enjoyed the experience of visiting Nick Gounaris office and learning the process. This lawyer talks about how his law firm shows compassion which is absolutely a joke. They took my money to file a charge with the OCRC and the EEOC and he lost his temper towards me on our very first meeting with the two OCRC investigators cause he said I was talking to much. Absolutely showed me zero respect as a client that day on and forward. I've asked for my money back and he replies with the usual excuses of how he did a professional job making sure my rights were not violated and blah, blah, blah. I wish I had never retained this lawyer. I had to beg and plead with his paralegal Leisyl anytime that I wanted to get a call from him and it got old fast. They knew I had to sell my bed, my furniture and more after I lost my job to survive and they acted like they could care a less. This lawyer showed zero compassion and zero respect towards me. Save your money and hire an attorney who doesn't wait till a year or more into your case to tell you that he will charge a down payment of ten grand to file a lawsuit for you and that it may be a three year fight that will cost 40 or 50 grand. He could have told me that in the begging when he charged me 2,000 to file a charge I could have filed for free. Yes he left all that part out the first year that I was dealing with him. I went to this company base on a reference from a colleague of mine. My experience was very…read moredifferent from everyone else. I submitted the information for my taxes a month and a few days before Tax Day (4/18). I didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks and then called. A call shortly after that then came to me saying that taxes would be processed soon (over a weekend, that night - statements like this). I was a little annoyed but finally was contacted by the main accountant and told that my taxes were finished, and he needed a copy of my driver's license and bank account numbers where we would like a refund deposited. I continued to wait and again told statements like the above (over a weekend, the next day, we will call you,), but still, no one called. Finally, I was panicking. It was getting too close to tax day, and I wanted to go over the taxes myself before submitted. This is the first time I have let someone else prepare my taxes. I left a message saying, ("if they haven't been done, don't do them"). The next day , I received a call from who I thought was the office manager. She said that my taxes were done now, and she needed a driver's license and bank account numbers! I was distraught. Why was I asked for the same information I sent 2 weeks earlier?! I canceled the order and did the taxes myself. At least I could finally be at peace knowing they were correct and processed. I'm sure the accountants in this business are very competent and excellent at their job, but going through the online portal and waiting for a response have been frustrating and caused a great deal of stress for my wife and me. This is the reason you go to accountants in the first place; so you can be assured your taxes are done correctly and without the stress.
