So I guess this is more of a review for the crave expo event on behalf of yelp even though this was a less traditional yelp event. First off I was not ready for the parking situation. $8.00 valet in the middle of the day!!! We got lucky and found a spot in the neighborhood as a valet was picking up a car. Next, it was a hot day outside and the event inside was no different. Not good for trying to taste elegant food. There were 2 bars that were serving 8 different signature drinks. I had both the bourbon based drinks and they were wonderful. You could still taste the bourbon thank goodness. There was also a refreshment station with fancy water, bottled water, and soda. This was very important to cooling off. The vendors. So this event seemed to be geared to the wedding crowd. Yeah it was a bunch of caterers but it almost seemed like something a couple or a bunch of bridesmaids would do. After all, everyone there was dressed like they were at a wedding already. I think the yelp crowd missed that memo. Being that the caters were targeting wedding and events, the tastings were all pretty high class fanciness. Giant tortellini, ice cream made in front of you, sashimi, frozen coconut milk pops, perogi's, French Filipino fusion, Thai, many desserts, sushi, creole, Greek, Spanish, and of course the champagne ice luge. There was also a elevator music band on a stage. The layout of the event center was nice. 2 main rooms with a nice open layout. I was very impressed and enjoyed myself very much. Hello to Gina at the yelp table and missed you to Brittany B who wasn't there.

Attended the Crave Expo last night and left with a happy belly and treats. Macaroons, shrimp & octopus ceviche, grilled bulgogi quesadilla, and the seafood gumbo were the highlights for me. And I'm not even including the open bar :O All of the vendors were awesome and explained everything in great detail. Banchan A La Carte was my favorite with their bulgogi quesadilla, bacon bahn mi, and crispy rice with spicy tuna were so ball bustingly good. The venue itself would be great for a huge party/wedding. Super clean, spacious, and with valet parking for $8.

Got a DJ gig at The Mark tonight!

Kate Paul is an incredible party director- she comes with a lot of experience and it shows. Not only she has a full book of all the vendors you may need, she is ultra organized and professional! I loved working with Kate! Kate has a lot of great ideas that will help in making your party unique. Her assistant Matt was also very professional and made sure everything was running smoothly during the party. They both delivered a high quality service! All night I was hearing praises from our guests about the beautiful space and well organized party. After inquiring about this venue online, I was immediately contacted by Kate Paul, who assisted me throughout the entire process of planning my event. In fact, that is an understatement because Kate did more than assist me, and I must say that I would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event without her guidance, support, and assistance. Kate was very knowledgeable about event planning, and since this was the first event that I coordinated on my own, she was thoughtful enough to give me guidance in everything from catering and bar service, to project management and décor recommendations. Kate was indeed my angel sent from the event planning gods; she was very professional, accommodating, understanding, and patient throughout the entire process. As for the venue, it was everything that I could have hoped for! It would be an honor to have the opportunity to host another event at this venue! I can honestly say that you will not regret hosting your event at Venue 66.

I've been here for dinner before and had to wait for tables but lunch time was not crowded which was great because the service was spot on. We started with bread service with a French butter. The wagyu tartare which I don't eat but those at the table raved about it. We also had the shrimp cocktail which had a nice presentation but if I went again I'd pass. It's good but nothing special. We also had the tomato and burrata salad that was excellent. My main dish was a nicely prepared seabass. It wasn't a large piece of fish but it was lunch so the portion was perfect. We finished with the coffee crème brûlée and apple crumble with a side of ice cream. Good desserts and again, for lunch it hit the spot. I had a sangria that was very mid. But then switched to what could be my favorite drink of the summer. ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A BAD WITCH. The answer probably depends on how many of these you put down. Tequila, hibiscus, habenero and a side of sparking rose. The entire table ended up getting these and loving them.

Despite the confusion, the hostess Kia, manager Loic, and Chef Ivan were incredibly gracious and took the time to speak with us. They welcomed us in anyway and we could not be more grateful for how kindly they handled the situation. My 10-year-old niece was dressed to the nines for the occasion--fascinator, gloves, parasol, the whole look--and this experience absolutely made her day. Walking into the beautiful space "in character" for tea felt magical and the staff really leaned into the fun with us, which made it even more special. Once we were seated, Melanie took care of us throughout the entire service and she was phenomenal--warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. Loic checked on us multiple times and his hospitality alone would be enough reason for us to come back; we'd honestly return just for him. The food was delicious: the assortment of tea sandwiches and sweets was beautifully presented and everything tasted fresh and well-executed. The drinks were spot on as well, from the tea service to the cocktails, and paired perfectly with the whole high tea experience. What could have been a disappointing mix-up turned into a very memorable tea outing all thanks to Loic, Kia, Chef Ivan and Melanie. We left feeling appreciated and very well taken care of!! Thank you all!!

This review is for the unfortunate experience I had renting R-Studio last month…read more From my first encounter with the owner, Daniel, I was put off by his social awkwardness. Not what you'd expect from someone who deals with numerous people on a daily basis. However, I let neither that nor the somewhat steep cost of the studio deter me from renting the place for my birthday party. The studio was in slight disarray when I showed up on the day I'd booked it for. Folding chairs and random painting were strewn about, and the floor needed to be swept. So I had to handle that before even setting up my own decorations and equipment. Daniel had mentioned several times previously that he wanted the studio returned in the same condition as it was before my event. So throughout the night, my friends and I made sure to clean up any spills or messes. After the party ended, we were literally on our hands and knees making sure the place was spotless. The following day, despite the great care we took, Daniel wrote a harsh email to me and demanded a cleaning fee. He initially said having the floors steamed would cost $100.00. I replied explaining how thoroughly we had cleaned the studio. Then in a following email, he said the fee would be $75.00. Rather than go around in circles, I agreed to pay the lesser fee, as it was clear that he simply wanted more money. If you're looking for a studio rental to host an event, I would highly recommend seeking it elsewhere.

On top of that the owner tried to figure out who's fault it was, mine or his, before giving me a refund! In contrast, working with Daniel at R Studio has been a pleasure. He is an excellent and prompt communicator, has been more than willing to support me with any questions or requests I've had, and the space itself is a great value. After trying out a number of different venues on the westside for my workshops R Studio is #1 on my list that I would recommend to others.
