Mark was supposed to fix a leaking tub. I paid him $1200. I'm not sure what he did, but the tenants said he just caulked around the tub, and it is still leaking and causing damage to the ceiling downstairs. I called him to re-fix the leak, since I paid him $1200 to fix it. He said his truck was BROKEN. And on top of that mentioned he'll charge me extra to fix the leak he was originally supposed to have fixed. I went by the positive reviews, but I think most are fake. According to AI, fake positive reviews are rampant in the plumbing business. I also think he isn't licensed, or at least I couldn't find him in the database of NY state licensed plumbers. I'm kicking myself for being too trusting. I should've done more research. In any case, if you have to use this plumber, proceed with caution. May the force be with you! read more

Hello, was having a problem with a leak in the bathroom that caused us to have to tear town dry wall from the bathroom ceiling. We contacted The Mark Plumbing. So bad that I wonder if his other reviews are false. Mark has v low ethics and skill IMO. My toilet lever was sticky. He fiddled with it, broke it, said it would be $375 to fix. Fine. Seems high but it's kohler. Then he 'fixed it' by first setting the lever vertical. I had to show him my other toilets to finally convince him the lever was originally horizontal. That time I just tried it one time and the whole thing became v loose. Then he 'fixed it' by having to level move UP (not down) in order to flush. The whole time he claimed I don't know, pieces change, he knows his job, a lot of levers are set vertically and flush up even though he didn't say any of this before I checked...c'mon son, you bought the wrong piece. Then when I told him I didn't have cash (vs check) he said he'd just remove the whole thing and be on his way, even though he knew I really needed this as I had guests the next day. Who doesn't accept check or cc?? So yea very low ethics and skill. read more

Mark was very quick to respond and came quickly to the apartment. He gave me a couple recommendations for fixing my faucet, I thought I was smart and could fix it myself so he left with no pressure to pay and no charge for the visit. I had to call him back soon because I had some trouble with getting the cartridge out and the old valves under the sink started leaking. He went and bought a new faucet for me after recommending a couple brands and sending me pics, came back, and installed it like a pro. 30 minutes for what would have taken me several hours.
