We got into Barrie a bit later than expected, and we're very hungry. This place was right next to…read morethe hotel, open and still serving. And I love Indian food, so if course there was little reason to not try them. The service was a little scattered, but that's okay, it late on a Friday night. It took a little longer than I would have liked, but again I was very hungry and it was late. The food. Okay, I had the chicken Seekh kebabs. They were alright, but much sweeter than I am used to. It was kind of a surprise, and not an entirely welcome one. I also had chili paneer, because I'm a sucker for a good fusion dish. The paneer was great, but I ordered it extra spicy and it was really not. At all. It wasn't even medium. Kind of sweet, and rather passive on the heat. The biryani rice wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either. Overall it was a mid experience. I would have rated them a little higher, but the price was a bit heftier then the food that was provided. I didn't hate it, I'm glad they were open, but I won't exactly be back next time I'm in Barrie

One of the few Indian restaurants that are not closed by 9:00 pm here in Barrie…read more It's located very close to the exit 96-A of Highway 400 N. The restaurant has a pretty large seating space to avoid unintentional eavesdropping. There's adequate lighting that doesn't force the patrons to guess what is it that they are eating. Our server, forgot his name, was very welcoming and made some interesting recommendations as well. When it comes to the food, at least on the menu there are a lot of options, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, to choose from. We tried the Chicken Tikka for starters and absolutely loved it. For the mains, we ordered the Butter Chicken but felt the curry was a tad too sweet to our liking. I did feel that they were understaffed for the night and with the surge in patrons our server was overwhelmed and forgot to provide serving spoons. That being said, I am definitely gonna revisit this place to try some of the other options they offer on the menu.

A decent Indian fusion spot in Park Place with a spacious and vibrant interior. The lady working at…read morethe front was friendly and passionate which made our visit quite pleasant. We ordered the Keto Bowl (3.5/5) and Naanwich (4/5). Keto Bowl had fresh shredded lettuce that adds a crispy texture to every bite. It also had cheese, chutney and yogurt which gave the dish a hint of creaminess and tanginess, and some added freshness from the kachumber. The keema and chicken tikka were decent. The blend of spices weren't as prominent as I expected. For the Naanwich, I had the Chicken Tikka with cheese and you get to choose 3 toppings for it. Again, the Chicken Tikka's signature flavour was milder than expected but the highlight of this dish would be the naan. It was fluffy and airy and chewy at the same time. Overall, I can understand why the signature flavour and spices of the keema and chicken tikka were mellowed down given the location. But I'd still come back for the naanwich and possibly try their burgers.

When we called the restaurant, whoever answered the phone was rude and implied that it was sent and lost even though the bag was sealed. Even though they offered to make us another, we did not want to risk waiting another hour. The food was mediocre and dry. I would definitely not recommend this place.

We were in Barrie for three days, and if we had gone here the first night, we would have eaten here all weekend. We did eat dinner here twice (the second night put us an hour behind our schedule getting home to Gowanda, NY. Worth it!) The food was awesome! All of it just hit. The chicken biryani I ordered extra spicy and they obliged! It was *so* good! The paneer pakora was fluffy and delicious, the chili chicken a perfect Indo-Chinese blend. Everything I had I cannot recommend enough. My one friend got the dosa (looked so delicious) and the samosas. She loved them! My other got the chicken tandoori and the chicken momos. To quote him directly, the momos were "the best dumplings I've ever had!" If I had to levy any criticism at all, the Seekh kebabs, though delicious, were sweeter than I'm used to. And the other, bigger complaint is I live so far away that I can't make this a regular place. Which jaggy really criticism at all, haha P.S. Get the Indian Iced Coffee!
