L&E conducts research surveys by announcing a topic and making it available to the general public. By filling out the pre-screener, you allow for them to identify if you're an appropriate candidate to participate. You're contacted relatively quickly and are either offered a session date or asked additional questions. Once selected, you will report on a particular date and time (15 minutes early) and taken in with a focus group. There you will discuss whatever topic for which you've been selected and paid the pre-arranged amount before leaving. You are asked to keep the content of the discussion confidential and may be watched by a group of hidden evaluators (oftentimes behind a mirror) or recorded for future review. Your session is only seen by the evaluation team and not made available to the public. Sessions ask for your opinions, as there are no right are wrong answers and encourage healthy and respectful discussions. I've done 4 or 5 reviews of products or services and have enjoyed the 1-2 hour sessions each time. The pay is substantial and you will be provided refreshments or fed during your visit. Not a bad way to spend an hour or two while being compensated for your time and attention, if you ask me.

Now you are in a group, wait a month to get an email about payment, and then read that it's another month long wait to actually receive your incentive. Why in 2026 is that acceptable?
