Both of us were wearing worn and dated shoes and while the employee working looked at both of our shoes when we walked out she walked out behind us and took down my license plate number. I went back in to ask why and the employee said the manager instructed her to do so. The manager came to the front and said she thought we left with different shoes but said she didn't find any "empties" in the back. Clearly we were being watched even though there were many customers, none of which were persons of color. Not only that but the manager was aggressive and hostile in her demeanor. I'm very disappointed and sincerely hope that the issue is addressed but considering it happened in 2019 by someone else who left a review, it would seem racism is acceptable to Famous Footwear. The picture shows the shoes the manager thought were stolen.

I'd rate zero stars if that were an option.

Spent a good hour in the store and the staff working were doing nothing, not a thing. They had BOXES of donated goods by the picture frames just begging to be put out but no, everyone was "too busy". The "sanitation" girl was at entrance playing on her phone, not even acknowledging you as you walk in and not cleaning the carts and such. They had two cashiers who looked like that wanted to work, made eye contact and said hello but were basically being "occupied" by the very loud short haired store manager who was complaining about other employees and customers so loudly that you could hear her in the back of the store. Talk about an awkward place to shop......
