Charming coffee shop with character. When you walk in, there's a narrow pathway towards the counter…read moreto order. There's menus on the wall in the hallway and at the counter. Very accessible. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have really fun decor, good lighting, trinkets and gifts to purchase, and different little spots to dine in, e.g., a small couch area, traditional table seating, a seat/bench by the window, and outdoor patio seating. It provides both a small, intimate setting but also a lot of room and space for groups of 3-4. I'm from California and was visiting family for a bit. Wanted to find a local coffee shop to work from. We came here about 10 years ago. Super happy this coffee shop is still around. Still has really good character, warm vibe, and employees were super welcoming to us. Grabbed a cold brew with foam, a mango/pineapple smoothie, a cookie (they gave us a second because one accidentally broke, kind gesture), a blueberry muffin, and a carrot muffin. Everything was great. That carrot muffin was the bomb. The cold brew was really good too. Classic caffeine kick, bold flavor as usual, and can really taste the fruit notes. I came back the next day to work. It was busy but there's still room to dine in and the team still got through the orders efficiently. For how busy it was, I didn't wait too long to order and get what I needed. Definitely overstayed my time but really needed a nice spot to work from. There's a lot of seating inside and out, but it gets pretty packed during lunch time. Was willing to give up my seat if needed. The staff consistently cleaned tables and seats and kind enough to just allow me to work despite my long stay. I went back to order a chai latte and the bagel and lox. The chai is unsweetened so I added their chai syrup. If you want it sweeter, probably add a bit more. I didn't mind their chai as is. Still good and getting all the spice notes after a cold brew was refreshing. The bagel and lox was phenomenal. I had to be proper and eat it like a civilized adult human being... but would've totally devoured it in seconds with my bare fingers if I was in the privacy of my home. Would come back.

Fun staff - they seem to enjoy their work and get along well with each other…read more Large Menu (drinks and food). Cool store and ambiance. Stay busy even though they're a small store.

There is street parking available on the adjacent street. I ordered the giggy pop, which is essentially homemade strawberry soda. I had it without the cold foam, and it was light and refreshing. Paired it with the edamame, which wasn't as good since some of the pods were mushy

We were seated but then it took a long time (maybe 5 minutes) for a server to come over. We ordered coffee and waters and then when the server came back we ordered our dishes. I wanted the Killer bisquits and sausage gravy and my wife ordered overnight oats. Just so you know they have a daily flavor choice and it took a few minutes for the server to find out what that day's flavor was. We waited for around 10 minutes talking and someone brought our dishes. My wife got her's fine and mine was something completely different. I told the person who brought it what I ordered and she said, yes that was not it. The server showed up again and said she was sorry about the "mix-up"...I don't know I am pretty clear when I order and something that has "killer and gravy" shouldn't be unclear. After more time passed the server came around again and said she would check to see what was going on....then came around again to say "it's still not here?" No, it was not there or I would be eating it. After I want to say around 15 minutes passed I finally got the food and had to chow it down because we needed to be someplace before the rain was going to start. But then the server came over and said to my wife (not me), I took the dish off you didn't order. Really, you took the dish off I dish I didn't order and charged me FULL price for the order I did and then no further discount....how nice of you. There was no manager to be seen or I would have said something then, but then my wife said don't, so I didn't and now this is the review that the Frothy Rooster gets because the server needed a clue and then did not do anything except make a good breakfast bad. If any management wants to contact me about this experience feel free to do so.

Such a cute place! I love the vibe. You can come in and grab a coffee to go or sit and eat.
