The barn is stunning and there are so many unique details all around the property. My favorite thing about Shady Wagon is the family that owns it and the leader of it all, Cindy! I have had the pleasure of working will her on several occasions, including a charity event for ovarian cancer that she took upon herself to host. Cindy makes everyone feel like they are special! She has given me so much advice and wisdom for my special day! I gladly listen because she has been doing this for a loooong time and has been married for 47 years! This family has been fair and extremely accommodating with my schedule and my budget! I never feel made wrong! Weddings can be stressful but Shady Wagon and Cindy Carroll have made my planning happen with grace and ease. The caterers that they have selected were fantastic and made picking food a whole lot easier!

The setting is stunning, with so many photo-worthy spots: a pond, butterfly garden, gazebo, fountain--and an indoor space that's just as breathtaking with starlit ceilings and a cool, comfortable atmosphere. The value is amazing--so much is included: tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, a beautiful charcuterie spread, and even lawn games for cocktail hour. The venue is designed with intentional touches, like separate getting-ready areas for the bride and groom. What really sets this venue apart is the staff. Our planners, Alli and Faith, were beyond incredible. They supported us for months leading up to the wedding and went above and beyond on the day of. From setting up early and bringing food for the bridal party, to remembering every little detail (like repurposing florals and rolling the cake table onto the dance floor), they were calm, capable, and kind every step of the way. Even when I mentioned I was dehydrated, a bartender brought me a Gatorade minutes later--I'm convinced he ran out and bought it himself. That's the kind of care they all give. Steve and Van are exceptional leaders, and it shows in every staff member. This venue felt like family. I wouldn't dream of having a wedding anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend!

I love that crazy woman...) we had an amazing experience. The biggest reason we booked this venue is that the place is gorgeous. Amazing picture taking venue. You want water in the background? There's a pond out back. Trees? There's a little tree farm next door. Bushes/bench? Right there. Stairs for a group shot? Out front. A gorgeous house in the background? A staircase? Fireplace? All available for photos. The main room where we held the ceremony wasn't too big. It could probably hold in ~100 people comfortably (we only had ~15). However, it is laid out such that there is glass on three sides of the room, giving you great natural light and some beautiful background. They also have a full kitchen there for party purposes and a sound system you can plug into for music. Martha (who runs the place) was really accommodating helpful. She gave us the WiFi password so we could Skype in family for the wedding. She had no problem letting us have our dog as our ring bearer. And when we got there, the chairs were already set up. There was some parking in the lot near the venue but when I arrived most the spaces were taken so I had to park along the side of the entrance. The venue looked like a large wood barn and was spacious. There was an upper and lower level, a stage, a bar area, tables, and chairs. It seems like a good space to have an event or reception.

We booked for an event on 5/31 from 10-3 Pm since 5 hrs is minimum requirement. the day before they said we have another event booked at 4 and you need to vacate by 2.30 PM. There was no paperwork regarding booking , the day before they said forgot to tell we need security deposit of $500 and they want payment in Cash though I paid through Zelle in advance. we vacated the place by 3 PM and they deducted $250 from security deposit saying we overstayed for 30 minutes. the motive is to charge more money and not return the security deposit in full , nothing in writing regarding the bookings. the venue is good and maintained properly my advice for anyone booking this venue is to get everything in writing and proper invoicing for the amount paid.
