The Cotton Room has insisted that they "cannot" refund the deposits paid, although they have done nothing to earn the nearly $20,000 that had been paid to them to date. We also requested a meeting with the owners of the venue to discuss the situation and perhaps come up with a solution, however the owners have refused to have a call with us. How can a venue that specializes in the business of love, happiness and weddings have such a cold, cruel and compassionless response to this tragedy that my son's family, his fiancée and her family are dealing with. You can admire the elevator shaft to the right of the front door, or envision the unseen inside (but very visible outside) base of the Lucky Strike smokestack which The Boiler Room "horeshoes" around. He was very unprofessional throughout all of our interactions, not returning phone calls and trying to slide out of things that were previously agreed upon. Also, their slideshow equipment would not work, which he did not seem to care about, and we were unable to show a slideshow that we spent hours working on.
