A high end restaurant near the Southampton ferries. Good quality food in classy surroundings with…read moreprofessional and efficient service. The highlight of my meal was my starter, the fried calamari. I was reluctant to order it, as normally fried calamari is consistent across all restaurants and doesn't take advantage of premium establishments but I was so glad I did. The best calamari I can remember, perfectly breaded, not greasy, included both parts of the calamari, and a healthy sized portion. I will go back just for it. Followed it with the branzino, which they filleted at the table. It was a nice fish and well prepared but did not blow me away. I also had the cheese course. While all the cheeses were good and the portion size was excellent, if I was them I would put more "show" in it. They already have a trolley, rather than ordering off a menu and getting a somewhat generic looking cheese plate, they should present the trolley and walk you through the cheeses (even though they are described in the menu). Again, no complaints with the cheese but it could have been much more. Overall a great meal with the calamari sticking my head.

I've stayed in and eaten at a bunch of places in Southampton. Ennio's is just outstanding; whether…read morecompared to peers or compared to just about anywhere else. The food is great; the service is outstanding; and the rooms are large and well furnished. The price of the hotel is a good value for what you get; the price of the food is appropriate for a swank meal (be prepared to drop a pretty penny, but if you can accept that you will truly enjoy your meal.) If I could make a recommendation: trust the chef's recommendations on the menu. They are all really, really good.

Very nice with AC, tea, coffee and biscuits in your room. Slippers and ropes with a towel warmer!! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner here!! Fabulous ...Chef's Kiss!! Luckily my wife packed carryons even for this past one month vacay! Can you believe it??? BELIEVE IT! Small details like cornstarch shower cap (a first for us), lights in the bathroom mirror was nice, heated towel rack. We couldn't figure out how to even turn it on. But at least we experienced it once. Bathroom robes & slippers were included too. Even a flat phone charger for iPhones & Samsungs which came in handy especially if you brought the wrong plug for your CPAP! My wife saved the day as she got one on Amazon before our trip! The hotel room was pricy this past night. It was due to the ongoing International boat show in Southampton even the guy who checked us in mentioned that. We didn't have premade reservations for dinner in their restaurant but luckily they squeezed us in. Yay! Lucked out. Our table was adjacent to their kitchen! Btw that was pricy too! No room service here. My wife didn't even take pics of the room. It was very hot when we reached it. Luckily the AC was working super well bc it got sickly cold! The walls are thin & their drapes stuff were rickety. Too bad it could have been five stars easily. At least we could walk to our cruise terminal even with cobblestones! We were thankful for that Celebrity shuttle picking us up halfway! YAY! Thank goodness for those little things...
