Great school and morale! They are so organized and great with kids! Their teaching ethics are amazing!

Honestly, the students there are just plain racist, proper moderation is needed, and things need to be looked into things further. I've seen kids getting in trouble for fighting back, or getting the incorrect form of punishment. Some teachers get off task for over 10 minutes, sports events were drastically unprepared for. My child had to sit in the forecasted rain with no tent for a sports event, no mat was provided to shield their uniform from the soaked ground.I would expect better from a school with the highest tuition in southern Nevada read more

I have had students attend private schools in multiple states for over 35 years, so I am well versed on how they normally operate. I considered Meadows after having researched all private high schools in Las Vegas and was impressed with the reviews for scholastic achievements. Too bad these qualities are not imparted on staff that are responsible for reviewing applications for admission. Keep in mind that since Meadows is private, they have had staff on campus since students are attending in person classes. The pandemic excuse has run its course with most businesses by now. I submitted an application for a grandchild in plenty of time and made sure I included all documents requested (Early January 2021). I never heard back so I sent multiple emails requesting an update on the process. Heaven forbid someone take time from their coffee break and reply in a timely manner. Since I no one responded I called and of course had to leave a voicemail since they don't have the time to answer the phone. I left my name my granddaughters name and the reason for the call and included that I needed a call because other schools had deadlines that were imminent. 5 Business days after I left the message, I received a call. The lady on the other end of the line said she was from the admissions office. She stated she was returning my call but did not know when I called or why I called. It was obvious she had not taken the time to listen to the message I had left, she probably has a secretary who provided a call back number, which tells me there are too many layers in administration. I explained that I had registered my grandchild in another school since I had not heard back from them in a timely fashion. I got the impression that she thought she was speaking to one of her students (condescending tone). She stated my application feel through the cracks. Now that would be a valid excuse if we were in the 1970's when things were done with paper notes and not computers. She asked if she could get my name which reenforced my belief she had not taken the time to listen to my message since I was very clear and detailed when I called. I thanked her for her time. If this is how they deal with adults I would have grave reservations sending my child into this type of environment. read more

So far, so great! My kindergartener loves everything about this school , except PE of course. Why do we have to run? Lol. But the fact that she's now reading, writing and doing 2nd grade work is amazing. And the fact that she's not burnt out, feeling pressured or despising school is also wonderful. High academic expectations, low character expectations. Classes can be demanding, but well-connected students always seem to find test banks and answer keys. The children here are bullies, blatantly racist, and rarely reprimanded for bad behavior. Staff is obstinate, pretentious, and unhelpful towards students in need. read more

Shortly after our daughter was born we started the process of touring and evaluating the various private schools in Vegas. There is, in our opinion, no better option than the Meadows School. This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here. read more

Really, there's not much more that I can say other than I could not have received a better education than the one I received at TMS. It is by far the best investment my parents ever made. The teachers, staff, and campus are extraordinary. New buildings have been constructed since I was a student, including a Performing Arts Theater and a new building for the middle school program. Class sizes are much smaller (typically 50-60 per graduating class), allowing for more personalized instruction. Though it's been 10 years since our class graduated, we still keep in touch regularly and love going back to support the school. I highly recommend The Meadows - if I still lived in Las Vegas, I would definitely send my daughter there. read more

My daughter was in fifth grade at a difficult private school in CA. She was a straight A student, won every challenge and contest and was considered the best student in her class. When I knew we were moving to Las Vegas we applied to the meadows. The admissions office is incompetent. They don't answer the phone. We submitted all the paperwork via their crashing portal. Then, I heard nothing for weeks. I called. Heard nothing. Finally I visited the campus and spoke with a young woman who offered little help. She said the transcripts were never received. I ended up submitting the transcripts three times via mail, and once by the secure email address I was given. Never heard anything. I again contacted this admissions woman only to be told, "yeah, our business office loses the mail all the time." She didn't offer to look at their business office, find a solution, or even apologize. Utter incompetence. Never received an update on her application or as much as a thank you for applying. This school is incompetent and rude. They are riding on a past that was far better. There are also a bunch of of kids at my daughters new school who left meadows. So, think long and hard about what institution deserves your money! read more

My daughter attended 2 years of pre-K at The Meadows Beginning School. We recently moved out of state which is the only reason we will not be attending Kindergarten in the fall. If I could uproot this school and place it in my new neighborhood, I would in a heartbeat. In looking for a school, I did a lot of research and took many tours of the other private schools in our area. I wanted her to attend the best. The thing that drew me most to this school was the fact that they "teach to the top". Students are constantly challenged, engaged, and motivated to learn. The teachers expect a lot from the kids and it isn't easy. Likewise, a lot is expected from the teachers, and especially the parents. On the very first day of preschool, my daughter came home with a sheet with the lesson for the week, and the word of the day was "responsibility". From that day forward, I knew that we were in for a journey. The statistics of the high school graduates speak for itself, with students moving on to the top universities, the GPAs and AP testing scores. So, although my daughter was only 3 years old when she stepped foot onto the campus- I chose this school because this is where I envisioned her graduating. It was an investment that we were willing to make. It is not only a monetary investment, but a time investment as well. Parents are very involved in every aspect- academics, athletics, theater, music, after school activities, etc. And as a result, the children are very well rounded and emerge as great leaders as well. *Yelp 100 Challenge: Review 58/100* read more

My daughter was emotionally tortured by a teacher at this school. Other children with GOOD family names and a strong community presence were driven out by the same teacher. This is a very disorganized school very antiquated not flexible it's unfortunate beautiful campus but that is all it has going for it the teachers are NOT flexible Gregerson the head of school isn't flexible. It's just a horrible place for a child to be, it's archaic and the textbooks are so outdated and old! Horrible Horrible school! NOT a happy place, teachers don't seem they are mean and rude! This is by far the best school in Las Vegas. This school is known for their higher education. Since first grade the children are taught Spanish. I love the way the school grooms the children to be leaders. From kindergarten on the students are taught to public speak and feel comfortable with talking to others. Most of all; children are taught respect and proper etiquette. One can definitely see the difference enrolled in this school versus a public school attendee. If you are lucky enough to be one of the chosen to matriculate at this fabulous institution your child will have the best education available. read more

the school is very structured an very key on great education...it's def worth the 22k a year per child plus all the other fees...starts from pre k through high school so no worries about wondering if your kids won't be happy when they go to the next grade...only thing that sucks is pick up...you need to be at least 30 mins early prior to dismissal:( read more

I went to this school and after 6 years I had to get out. Yes, it was academically challenging. Yes, it prepares you for college. Yes, the students apply themselves. But on top of all that, the students almost never smile. The students are constantly miserable and never once say that they love the school. It wasn't until I left the school that I realized what a toxic environment it was. The lower school students only have 8 minutes to eat and aren't allowed to talk during lunch. They have a strict dress code and no phone policy and as before I left, the headmaster of the upper school told me that I would never get as good of an experience and education as I would elsewhere and on top of all this, I wouldn't get into a good college or succeed like I would if I went to The Meadows School. All in all, that could not have been more false. Is this school really where you want to send your cheerful kids in kindergarten and see them come home with 2 hours of homework and bags under their eyes? If so, go ahead and enroll yourself in The Meadows School. read more
