Small family business and THE place in the area to go to for truely excellence quality meat goods…read more All their products origin from self-production and thus have no added substances, providing best taste. The range of items offered is quite big, including bio-meats,world-class salads, cooled beverages and even some small, warm takeaway meals. Also they provide catering for local businesses and special occasions around the area. More than logically the prices and waiting time are proportional to the very high quality offered, but nonetheless all employees are doing their best to keep up with the high costumer inflow and are always nice and educated.

But it is imbiss style, you order at a counter and if they are really busy you hear your number called and you get your meal. If it isn't busy someone will walk your food out but they aren't wait staff. The environment is very interesting in that you are sitting in a renovated area of a food warehouse. They have items that change daily and the food quality and preparation are extremely high quality. This is where the people who own restaurants come to eat lunch, if they aren't in their own restaurant. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is a foodie. Second part of the review. If you need fish or meat to cook at home this is by far one of the best places to go in all of Stuttgart. This is the primary business of this place selling wholesale to restaurants. Restaurant quality everything. There lunch imbiss is a side business.

Military grocery store [Stuttgart, Germany]…read more During my vacation in Germany I tagged along with my brother when we needed to get groceries or non-food supplies for the house. This is obviously a grocery store for the military families and only military personnel could pay. I came to get some snacks for a road trip and came across the Ritter Sport chocolates. I've not had one of these before and chose a couple that appealed to me. There were a variety of different chocolate flavors to choose from. Then we went to visit the Ritter Museum the following day... We used the self-service check-out counter. Review #4059

You can get a freshly made sandwich super cheap too. All the meat is frozen so if looks fresh, it's not. It will tell you not to refreeze. You can get some pretty good deals. Baby back ribs for around $5 for a double rack...not bad. Make sure you watch prices...not for sale items but just the regular price. Since they sell at 10% over cost the price goes up and down with each shipment. Also, pay attention in the produce section. Some things that you are used to paying "each" for is charged by the pound. Lettuce, for example, is typically $0.75 PER HEAD but here it is PER LBS. Lettuce is pretty heavy when you aren't paying attention.

There is a better stocked mini-market and uniform shop less that 150 yards away from this "commissary" that isn't really a "commissary" but more of a throwback to the old company-town general stores. It's as if the area commissaries got together and sent their overstocks and frozen meat leftovers to this outpost on the edge of Panzer. There's really no reason to have this store. If you're so desperate that you have to shop here...then you have bigger problems than having to shop here! Rather than buy frozen crap or less-than-fresh veggies, go to the food court for fast food (make that a rare trip too, as that place has its own problems, and the food just isn't good for you)! The more I think about this commissary, the more frustrating it is that the place exists at all. Tax dollars once again being flushed away by a particular military service driven by doctrine and dogma!
