This is the best wedding reception I've ever had. The outside has beautiful garden perfect for a ceremony and taking pictures. At the lobby, you will see grand staircase with a beautiful sculpture. At the cocktail area you can find several food stations: Asian, Mexican, pasta, potato and Mac and cheese, lamb. Besides that, there's a big table with assortment of cheese, crackers, fruits, and beautiful carved watermelon. You also can pick more appetizers from the servers who are passing around more food such as lamb chops, spring rolls, dumplings. The ball room is big with gorgeous chandelier. The backyard is also beautiful for taking pictures. The main dinner course starts with salad followed by refreshing sorbet. My entree was branzino, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Dessert is also epic. There are: donuts, chocolate fountain with all of the fixings, cotton candy, pretzel, funnel cake, churros, fried Oreos, s'mores station, varieties of cakes and pastries, milkshakes station, waffles, shaved ice cone, popcorn, tons of selections of candies. Unfortunately I was super full and had no room for the dessert. Service was awesome. Very professional team. The manager asked around about the food. If you have the budget for such grandeur. I definitely recommend this place.

Alll Things Are Possible Foundation hosted our Community Service Awards and Kwanzaa Gala at The Merion. We had a fantastic experience with excellent customer service, delicious food, and pleasant ambiance. Working with one of the owners, Vinny, and our Event Specialist, Michelle, who was very professional, pleasant, and communicative, made everything smooth. We already signed a contract for 2025 and look forward to The Merion being the home to our event for years to come.

Great time at The Merion for a company celebration party! The route to The Merion coming from Philadelphia was a breeze! Pretty simple to get to and finding parking was also struggle free. The venue is pretty large with three floors of different sized event rooms. Upon arrival, there were plenty of individuals on staff helping with ushering us to the event space, guiding where coat check is as well as directing those that would need access to the restrooms. It's well lit and done up in a modern Italian style. There is plenty of open space, high end finishes, ornate detailing, and overall well suited for plenty of affairs. When we were there, there were 4 other parties happening throughout the space! We didn't feel cramped or scrounging for room in the hallways, and the access to bathrooms was plenty - never a line forming! The staff here were really nice and always on top of clearing plates and refilling water glasses. The party was catered by the venue as well, many different hot stations showcasing different cuisines were set up - including Italian, Asian, modern American, a full hors d'oeuvres table, a giant dessert table (my favorite), and two bars inside out event space! Our space also had a large domed skylight - makes the space feel that much more roomy. Enjoyed my time and looking forward to more events here!

I felt that was a great display of professionalism and customer service. I would imagine that it can get pretty crowded quickly here's as the seating space is limited, but it's still worth visiting even if you just get take out. There is a little outside seating as well. Don't let the size of this place fool you though! The breakfast menu offers some tasty things you just won't find at your local diner or other breakfast spots. As soon as I was given the description of the birds nest I knew I wanted to try it. My husband opted for the frittata both coming with a little spring mix and lemon vinaigrette on the side. There was a little bit of confusion and we both were brought the frittata. I didn't catch the lady's name that had welcomed and helped us, but she was apologetic and fixed it immediately with no fuss and even offered us a box to take the other frittata home with us. When the birds nest came out it was DELICIOUS! It was cooked perfectly. My husband also enjoyed his frittata very much. The spring mix and lemon vinaigrette also was a refreshing companion to both. Bottom line this is how you do business and provide customer service. Good food, friendly caring customer service, professionalism all wrapped up in a cozy environment. I almost forgot to mention I got an iced coffee and that was pretty good as well. We will definitely return!

I can't go often, since it's not that close to me, but when I go, I typically order the rib platter. I typically get the same sides (beans and mac n cheese) along with cornbread. It is certainly more deserving than my initial 3 star review on my successive visits, but I never updated my review. Not everyone will love the sauce, which tastes more tomato-based, but that's okay. As I've gotten older, I appreciate it more. It's almost like... they put... ketchup... in the sauce... and if that's what it is, I'm fine with it. It tastes good. The ribs on that initial visit were tough; that's not a lie. On three visits afterwards, it was not as tough as the first time. On my most recent visit today, the ribs were really, really tender. Like... this is how tender ribs should be. The only difference between my experiences before versus now is I placed a takeout order this time whereas I always ate at the restaurant before. If takeout will always yield the freshest, most tender ribs, I'm good with ordering takeout from now on. The ribs were tender to the point of being delicate. They were SO GOOD. Even the rib that looked like it could've been tough was tender. That's how you know ribs are good. I would give 5 stars for just the ribs alone, but aha... there were more items... baked beans... SO GOOD... they have sausage bits in them. Cornbread... baked fresh and cut in front of my eyes... WARM, SOFT, FLUFFY.... SOoo GOOOOD... the mac n cheese... well, ehhh... can't win them all... it was just mac n cheese. I have to remember to order something other than mac n cheese next time, but I always forget because I don't go here often enough. Still, this is a 5 star meal all the way and I look forward to more meals like this. I thought I had to drive over to Camden all this time to get tender ribs. Let's say that all again... the ribs are damn good... tender and juicy. Yums. Go get some. Parking lot on the premises. Hope you get the same experience I just did.

I got there at around 6:30pm and although the parking lot had quite a few cars in it, the restaurant itself was pretty empty. The bar was empty and there were only a table or two with people sitting. There is a take out counter as soon as you walk in. You can order take out there, or order your food there and sit and they will bring it to your table. You can also sit at the bar or the seated area and be served. I ended up ordering the sliced brisket, turkey, chili and spicy greens. (About $28) Everything was very good...but the spicy greens really stood out...like nothing I ever had before. The meal also came with cornbread, which was really good. There is a little condiment bar on the side with lots of sauces and other items including pickles, peppers, onions, pickled onions and cinnamon honey butter (for your cornbread of course). You are welcome to take whatever you like from there. I would love to return to try some other items. The space was very well-maintained and had some cool decor throughout. All staff I encountered, including and especially the bartender/server, were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Laurel, NJ for our wedding day.  A bit a research and abundantly positive Google and Yelp reviews brought me to Foodwerx Catering.  Along with their catering packages, Foodwerx offered the services of a day of coordinator, Roxanne.       Going with Foodwerx and utilizing the services of Roxanne was the best decision we made regarding our wedding day.  Roxanne's attention to detail, planning, timeline management, coordination of vendors, communication, vast experience, aesthetic, logistical expertise, and most importantly, warm and kind heart are everything a couple needs to ensure that their wedding event exceeds every expectation.  Every bump in the road or unexpected turn of events was handled calmly, promptly, and professionally.  Adding additional décor flourish to our reception area; she handled it.  Adjusting our timeline to ensure that our photographers got cake cutting shots before our contractual end time; she handled it.  Last minute realization that a generator was needed for the outdoor kitchen; she handled it. Simply put, she worked magic at every turn to ensure that we had the best day possible.     Now, the food.  There are almost no words for how incredibly the food was prepared, served, and how much our guests enjoyed.  Our families are not easy to please when it comes to food. Therefore, cookie cutter lukewarm generic wedding food was NOT AN OPTION for our day. Foodwerx surpassed all expectations by providing food that was scratch made on site, served hot and fresh, and was unbelievably flavorful and delicious.  I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for all of Roxanne and Foodwerx's tireless efforts.  Bottom line, if you are looking for an exemplary culinary and wedding day coordinating experience, look no further than Foodwerx!!
