I come to Sheridan every couple years for work, and always make it a point to stop by! The Mint Bar is a historic 100+ year old bar in charming small town Sheridan, serving up affordable drinks...especially if you're from a big city like myself! Cocktails are like half the price of big cities! Interior is a shock for newcomers...lots of taxidermy animals, artisan craft woodwork, and groovy neon lighting. One bartender took really good care of us, making cocktails as if they were from highend classy bar in a big city...the other seemed all business, though to be fair it was a crowded night. Locals seemed friendly enough, even to tourists.

    Beautiful sign, bad ass car.

Fantastic little bar. Starting with an epic neon sign right on the beautiful main drag in Sheridan, the inside is just as fantastic. Great service and a healthy mix of visitors (me) and friendly locals. Don't miss.

A quintessential must when visiting the area. Great drinks, fun bar games, ice cold beer.

The Mint Got my swag. Years ago my Husband brought me back a souvenir from this bar. It turned out, when he told his fishing buddies what he got for me, they told their wives, their wives were very upset at their husbands because they didn't get the same for them... it was a pair of thong underwear that said "eat at the mint".... NO longer politically correct! SO SAD! Ed took me there years later, and I started my own memories for that night, and they are the best memory with the best story. I even cracked myself up. Today was 20 years fast forward. Bought new swag, T-Shirt, stickers, panties, cozies. They no longer have the saddle barstools but still a fun and special place. I WOULD go back.

Great jukebox. Cold beer. Fun people. What more do you want from a bar? There's a good mix of locals and tourists, some pool tables and plenary of room to sit or lean if you've had a long day.

Cool, historic throw-back bar worth stopping in and checking out and having a cold one. The old animal mounts, woodwork and bar are really cool and the neon sign outside sets the stage. Worth the stop when in Sheridan.

The last time I was here was a couple years ago when I visited my friend's home town for "Rodeo Weekend," and no joke I had one of the best weekends of my life! The people were extremely nice and inviting, and the bars were all a blast, I seriously want to go back every year! This was one of the cool little bars she took me to check out while we were there, and of course this one was just as fun as the others! That was an awesome weekend and I can't thank the town enough for showing me a great time!

Great stop, historic western bar. No food

Perfect bar in a historic western town. At the bar we got fabulous service from a friendly & chatty bartender. Even in the mid afternoon the place had a pretty good smattering of locals. Got some good advice on where to find the wildlife we were looking for. Plenty of good taxidermy and old western kitsch and artifacts decorate this place. Great pricing, perfect old west saloon feel. If in the area again we will definitely return.

Went to visit the lil bro for Thanksgiving. I've never been out before and was looking forward to seeing the town he now calls home. He decided to take me the "tourist" bar. As soon as you walk in you know you're at a local hang out. The bar was packed with locals and out of towners. People were friendly and smiling. The decor was interesting! So many animals hanging from the walls! I even saw a JACKALOPE! Pretty cool setting. There's a jukebox and people were playing rap, hip hop, country and I think I even heard some reggaetón! Lots of fun! We squeezed passed the crowd at the bar towards the back where the booth seating is at. There's a side entrance in towards the back too if you want to avoid the crowd at the bar. We grabbed a couple drinks at this bar before he took me to another. The first round of drinks were mighty strong. My brother had a Long Island and I tried their special of the night, Winter Wonderland. It was very tasty. The second round was not strong at all. We left once we finished our second round. But I'd come back for sure!

The dog is actually sitting at the bar drinking a glass of water!

Super fun evening at the Mint and totally get why it's one of the best bars in America and right up there at the top of the "most western saloons" in America. Will return for sure when/if in Sheridan again

Great western decor but service was horrible and party of 6 had to go up to bar for service. Wouldn't go back.

The Killy's restaurant is directly across the street from the Mill Inn hotel And I wanted the food hot so I went directly back to my room. The brisket was very disappointing as it was apparently not freshly smoked because smoked meat gets a distinct less than desirable taste when refrigerated overnight. This meat was definitely refrigerated and warmed over as it had that taste. The beans and potatoes were ok but nothing to write home about. The ribs were ok, taste was on par but nothing exceptional. I detected only a very light smoky flavor. The person who helped me obviously hadn't been trained as she could not answer any of my questions and had to keep asking someone else. While she was nice and really tried but was she knew nothing about the products or the priced that she was serving. All of the staff were respectful and friendly. The ambiance was a typical bar that smelled like smoked meat and was slightly smoky. It has a large and spacious dining area! One of the reviews I read said that they had smoked bacon ends but when I asked for the bacon ends, the fellow who acted like a manager said they have never had smoked ends of any kind. To sum up. I wouldn't return to this establishment again. I do not know where the reviews are coming from. But the food is nothing like what was described In the reviews.

They all serve the same food but the pub also serves alcohol. We stopped in for the BBQ which seems strange for a place called an Irish Pub. Again just adding to our confusion. Once we figured out how to order food things were good. Some items were bland while others were really good. One of the staff members seemed annoyed with us because we didn't know what was going on. So that was not great. But all of that aside it was a nice place to stop for a bite to eat.

Being a Sheridan local myself, this town is lacking nightlife! Yes we do have bars, but what about…read moredancing? Not everyone likes to sit around, breathing in stagnant smokey air while passing out drunk sitting next to the person who bought you all those rounds of beers. My point being? I've been here once, (don't live in Sheridan anymore), but went to this place & it was pretty lively for a hick town. There's a "DJ" (aka person on a mac probably on iTunes) who plays hit music from today to the early 2000's which was a nice variety. It's not your typical country bar like the Mint or the Beaver Creek -- even though there is Western decor, Rails is trying! The layout of the place is different - the entrance on broadway, you walk in & are immediately in this small lobby by the bathrooms - to your left is the area with the pool tables & the dance floor, to your right is the bar. From what I remember, there also was blacklights. I don't believe there was a cover charge, but as far as drinks go, I felt a bit rip off. First, you know the place is somewhat cheap when your drink is in a plastic cup with a huge COORS logo -- but besides that, my drink had way too much ice, so I didn't get much product in the cup! I was not happy since the drink was about 6$. Also there is smoking allowed inside...BEWARE... That aside, this place still gets a 4 star, even though the bartender didn't impress me that night, because this is Sheridan's first attempt to add a bar that caters more to the younger crowd.

This bar was awesome but it is closed and a different buisness now. Its currently known as the…read morewelcome market
