Can't say enough great things about this company. Long story short, I was in a bind and needed a 2 car garage taken down. It was leaning a bit (the same bit it has for 20 years), but it was definitely time to come down as the roof was now compromised. We struggled for weeks trying to find a contractor to do the job. It seemed to be too small for demolition companies and too different from what they usually do for contractors to understand what they needed to do and the economics involved. I would say I called 15 companies, including ones who advertised all over Google that garage demolition was their thing. Out of all those calls, I could only get two bids. One was almost $10,000. This is what happens when a contractor is asked to take something down rather than build it. In truth, contractors give estimates like this when they don't actually want to do a job. However, they will force themselves to do anything for the right amount of money. Next, a company that seemed to be located in Paterson yet had a Fair Lawn address gave me a quote that I could live with (about the same as the Mold Guys). Job kept getting kicked down the road despite a firm promised start date. Funny how that happened as soon as I asked them to pull a permit. That isn't suspicious at all. Glad I didn't give them any money. Finally came the Mold Guys as they were recommended to me by a local person. When I saw their name come up I never considered them as I assumed they focused solely on mold remediation. They came to look at the garage almost immediately (it helped that they are located in town). They gave a very fair estimate the same night they looked at the job. First contact was 9/6 and the job was completed 9/18. That included several days of waiting for the permit to come through and when the dumpster could get dropped off. Constant communication through text messages explaining every little thing about the project. Even made paying and signing documents easy as I am in Brooklyn most of the time and unable to make it back during regular business hours. We were able to drop off checks and sign paperwork right at his front door way after hours. If you are looking for demolition work, even beyond the mold work they are known for, The Mold Guys, NJ LLC are for you. I recommend them wholeheartedly as a business you can trust (and I trust very few people). I would not have bothered writing this review if it was an easy job anyone could do. It was proven to me they are special and far more capable than the top 15 companies that come up via Yelp searches and Google searches. Even if your job is different than mold remediation or garage demolition, I would call them and see if they may be interested. read more
