I would sum up MIke's commitment to emotional health in three words: dedicated, experienced, and down to earth. I have been seeing Mike for about 2 years. I have been diagnosed bipolar and maintain a relationship with a counselor on a regular basis. Thankfully, I crossed paths with Mike and continue to see him on an as needed basis. He is sincere in his interests to serve you as his patient. He offers appointments on occasion that are outside his normal schedule. Most importantly, he offered assistance to my family and a family member that surpassed any expectation I would have ever had. I texted him and he read between the lines. I was able to phone him and discuss my concerns. His dedication and reaction to my situation in his approximate words, "I would not have wanted you to schedule an appointment and have waited to discuss this then. Of course I don't mind the call." I just can't say enough about his genuine interest to help his patients.

Michael’s approach is grounded, relational, and practical. The work is not about blame or quick fixes. It is about helping people better understand themselves and each other, repair trust when possible, and create meaningful change in daily life. For couples, therapy can help address communication struggles, disconnection, resentment, conflict, infidelity, and rebuilding trust. For families, therapy may focus on parent-child conflict, co-parenting dynamics, reunification, emotional regulation, and helping children feel supported through transition. Katelyn Mensing has been a lifesaver for our family, as our daughter has experienced psychosis…read more During my daughter's first episode, I was lost. The mental healthcare system is confusing, and accessibility can be limited if you don't know where to turn. We were desperate - we got a list of potential therapists from a hospital and reviewed the bios of the therapists. Katelyn's bio stood out, so we called her first and left a message. Before we could even call the third therapist, Katelyn was calling us back. She was willing to see my daughter that evening, staying very late to accommodate her first therapy appointment. Since that day, Katelyn has been the single most important person in my daughter's recovery and healing. What is as important to me is how available Katelyn has been to support our family as we supported our daughter through her most difficult times in life. I am grateful to share that our daughter is healing after seeing Katelyn consistently for the past few years. I would recommend Katelyn and her team to anyone who is seeking help during a difficult time of mental health.

We are finding that trauma is the root of most mental health disorders and neuro-therapies have proven to be a powerful bottom-up approach to treat it. We use neuro-therapies (Brainspotting, EMDR, and Flash) to reprocess the traumatic memory that holds the pain and this reprograms the belief system, releases the negative feelings, and moves the body sensations created from your trauma out of your body. Once this process is complete, you will find that you will think, feel, and behave differently. We also use IFS and/or Ego States Therapy in conjunction with the Neuro-therapies and this will help you have more compassion for yourself and enable you to make connections to why you do the things that you do.
