A crew of fine young men began to unload one house. Then moved us to the one we were buying This was an all day affair and the crew was energetic all day and kept up a good pace on a hot day. My mother hired the Moving Crew to move her belongings to my home. She paid in cash $800. Upon the move, the two men completing the move attempted to forcibly push a refrigerator through a doorway, leaving extreme damage to the doorway which was original stained wood. The marks were very deep and very noticible. When I contacted Phil, the co-owner, he first directed me to his "partner" who initially told me that I would have to file a claim with my homeowners insurance. Then told me he could file a claim under their insurance but that I would have to pay a $500 deductible. All this was said without even asking what damage was done or looking at the damage. I then contacted Phil the following day, again introducing myself, and explaining my concerns. He interrupted me, told me he spoke with his two employees and that their "stories were consistent" in explaining that my mother told them to get the refrigerator through the door "by any means necessary" and that he didn't know what my mother was "trying to pull" but that I "clearly only believe what (I) want to believe." He went on to state that my description of the issue would "only take some paint and putty" and he still had not seen any of the damages or even requested to see the damages. He finally asked what I expected of him and he only offered an apology after I provided the expectation of an apology and to view the damages so that he could fix them. He then never responded to me or the pictures I sent to him. This company, specifically Phil, is clearly only interested in the money you give him, not in his personal integrity or the integrity of his company. Most of all, the belongings his company is in charge of moving, as well as the dwelling he is moving them to, is of no importance to him. Anyone who chooses them as their movers should prepare for damages to their belongings with no retribution or empathy. This is a terrible business with a terrible owner. read more

This team of Movers was the best I've ever used! We moved from Overland Park to Wichita. The whole team was so professional and courteous. They were on time and FAST! They quoted me a fixed price that was the same I paid at the end. And it was a much cheaper price than other movers I'd called for the same job. They worked with us when our close date for the house was bumped a week with no trouble at all. They loaded everything with precision making sure not to break or bump anything. They packed the truck like tetris and to my utter surprise it ALL fit! They also made sure to move everything into the correct rooms and right where we wanted it. The Moving Crew claims on their website that they will give you a fixed price quote. Don't fall for it!!! Phil came out to our house and looked at all the items, and gave us a quote capped at $1,150. He said he will charge by the hour, if it turns out less than the cap. However, the day of moving, the mover made it clear, that our estimate is only for 6.5 hours, and that we would have to pay an additional $180 per hour after our time is up. They gave us the option of leaving some stuff behind, or to pay extra to complete the move. At that point you really don't have another choice than to pay up. Ours ended up being $340 over the estimate. They also scratched my wood floor from moving the refrigerator, broke a table top, and broke a water shut-off valve. I sent Phil an email asking for a refund of $500 for the overcharge and the repairs, and his only response was "Did you buy insurance?" I have not heard back from him since. read more

We hired the Moving Crew because it was well recommended. First time using movers was the worst experience. They told us they would wrap all of our furniture and only a few items were wrapped. Our baby crib, changing table, 2 couches, new rug and 12 boxes of items, like my new born birth certificate had water damage. The Owner Phil Eisentraut did not respond to any of our phone calls and the one time he talked to my husband he said "We will make it right, we are not going anywhere" We have not heard anything from them. It's been 2 1/2 months. We finally got our furniture back and it didn't get clean, I don't understand how they store things because our couch came with bird droppings and more green stains. The wood damage on the baby crib and changing table was horrible, they sanded only part of the wood and hand painted the wood with non-matching paint and it just looks bad. 3 young men showed up in a 26 ft truck. They were professional and kept on the move the whole time. It did take longer than I expected. They neatly stacked my stuff in basement for storage. I do suggest that they don't just set furniture down in the middle of the room because once you get 4 or 5 pieces in a room it makes for a difficult situation to move the furniture where you actually need it, I had a heck of a time moving furniture out of the way so I could move other furniture into place. I suggest that putting along the walls would be a much better way, and understanding the owner of the furniture does not know exactly how they want to arrange the furniture yet. I think the pricing is within range, but paying per hour could cost you extra if you have a lot of misc stuff. They were good at loading the truck and I had no damage that stands out. I would recommend, but they need to hustle a little faster. read more

Don't use this company! It was terrible. Dresser legs broke off, furniture scratched up and a gun came up missing that we had to file a police report on. They gave me a flat rate, however when they got there I was charged an additional $150 for insurance (this was never mentioned until the truck came and moving began). We have moved several times and this was the one and only absolutely HORRIBLE moving experience ever! read more
