After researching our options, we decided the U-Pack was the way to go, and I'm really glad we did. Customer service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful, answering my questions patiently. Goods arrived in great condition, and the only things that were damaged were because we didn't pack them carefully enough. We can definitely tell that some jostling happened, but that's to be expected. They came in under budget, which seems like it almost never happens. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They dropped off the container when they said they would, and picked it up promptly when we were finished. They found a creative way to park the container safely in our driveway in Anchorage despite the 100 inches of snow that has fallen this year. Our things arrived within the promised timeframe, and in fact they arrived early. Overall, our move was a real hassle, but it had nothing to do with U-Pack and everything to do with the fact that we are three pack rats who lived in Alaska for 25 years and collected far too much stuff.

What does that have to do with the fact that it was in great condition before and they damaged it during the move? We had to reschedule due to our closing being pushed back with a holiday. They were super friendly and got us a different date without any issue or "fee". My only complaint is you pay by the hour, and the two guys we had took a few water breaks (obviously no one is a robot) but they also sat down to eat sandwiches and billed us for all that time. All in all I think we paid for 30 minutes of them having a snack break. Other than that I was very pleased. I would recommend.

I will say they have very nice and professional people on the phone, fair prices, and generally good about the move, but you really have to keep them honest and track absolutely everything yourself. If one of the movers breaks a table, you have to call the main office RIGHT AWAY. If they agree they'll move your piano and charge you for piano handling services, then no one shows up that can handle the piano and almost drop it off the back of a truck, while the movers are still there you have to call and raise a stink or it'll be your word against theirs. These things happened to me.
