You might think that a coffee shop right by a food Lion in a shopping center might not be that good, but if you went to this location you would be completely wrong. The staff was so nice! The area to sit and eat your breakfast was the most comfy and relaxing at home feeling I have ever had in a coffee shop. The sandwich was made to order with fresh ingredients. First time visiting this coffee shop inside the Timber Crossings shopping center. Very clean and relaxed vibe, lots of open space! Great for solo or group coffee time. The barista was so helpful and helped me narrow down my choice to an iced tiramisu latte and the avocado toast. The latte tasted like a hug in a cup and the avocado toast was bangin with the goat cheese!! Prices were reasonable and on par with other coffee shops IMO. I was looking for a spot to drop into on Sundays because coffee shops can be finicky about opening on Sundays. Well, so is this one. I was halfway there, but pulled up Google Maps to fine tune and was thankfully told by the app not to waste my time as they were closed. So, I had to wait til Monday. Half good/half meh. It's in a strip mall with a grocery store, so parking was tough at 1pm. There is minimal outside seating - about 3 small tables. Not a lot of room inside either, but they use the space smartly nonetheless. Clean restroom and friendly enough service. However...the quad espresso was the greatest I've ever had. And I'm a coffee snob. It had a nice jolt that eased into its hit instead of striking immediately. But it was the taste that stuck with me. Absolutely delicious. Is it enough to make me revisit? The coffee shop is cute and nicely decorated. A nice place to get some work done and have a drink/treat. Beans are roasted in house and they also offer smoothies, teas and pastries( not made in house). My only caveat is there are no prices listed so if you are not a regular OR local patron like me, you have no idea how much anything costs. For some people it don't matter. I just like to know what I'm paying before I see the total. lol. It still didn't stop me from coming back another day during my visit from the west coast. The coffee is quality and nice and strong. First time here. I ordered a simple Bacon and Egg. Took about 8 minutes which was fine. I ordered it with ketchup. I had to ask for them to bring ketchup out. I also ordered a hot Earl gray tea. That came out after I was done with my sandwich. Not sure if it's a training issue or they are just understaffed but terrible service. Staff was nice tho. Maybe this was just a bad day for them. We tried Muse for the first time this Saturday morning and it was so yummy! For a Saturday it wasn't too busy and there were plenty of seats. The inside is very cute and inviting! This would be a great spot to work from because they also have plenty of outlets. I got the Christmas in a Cup latte iced with oat milk and my husband got the cold brew with vanilla and salted cold foam. I highly recommend the Christmas in a Cup!! It's not too sweet but definitely gives Christmas drink. We also tried the glazed strawberry donut which was super fluffy and fresh! We actually saw the owner! I only knew it was him because I checked out the website and read about he and his wife's story. He seemed very nice! Was walking around talking to patrons. Cool little coffee shop we hit up before leaving town. We chose them because they have been there since 2007 or something crazy. Handmade doughnuts the size of your fist, amazing breakfast burrito, and an excellent pour over option - and REAL mugs - lost art these days. We were still talking about the burrito the next day! My bestie & I were looking for some local coffee spots to try. We tried The Muse maybe 3/4yrs ago at this point. We always forget they're there because they're a little hidden with the Food Lion traffic. But when we remember it's there, how close it is & how much we love it - we're on the way! Came in yesterday to try the breakfast burrito and it was so good I had to come back today. :-) It's actually pressed and amazing. Super happy. Almond Cortado also was so good. I had to get a second :-) The only thing I dislike is the music. There are not very many 85-year-old people who come out for five dollar coffee. I absolutely love this place and I have never even been! I was looking for a good breakfast delivery place and this place hits the spot every time! I cannot wait to actually go to Muse and try it in person though. I usually order 1-2 times a week via DoorDash and everything we have had has been amazing! I got to speak to the owner, Brian, this morning and he was so kind. I called to ensure my coffee would be decaf. Before he mentioned he was the owner, I told him how much I love the food and how they are so on top everything. He was so appreciative and kind! On to the food! We have tried the Goat Cheese Avocado Toast with Pepper Jelly, Black Bean Burrito, The Brit English Muffin, The Mocha, and the D-Fab Latte. All of these things are delicious. The Avocado Toast is always fresh and one of the best I have tried. The combination of the Pepper Jelly & Goat Cheese really makes it stand out. The Black Bean Burrito comes with Bacon, Egg, Cheese, and Black Beans. They never forget to add avocado, take the cheese out for us, or provide a bunch of their yummy salsa on the side when I ask for extra. The Brit is a fluffy, locally sourced English Muffin served with honey butter or jam - be sure to get both! So good! I always get the D-Fab Latte and it's always made perfectly. I was greeted by a friendly staff and I told her it was my first time here. I also told her I have bad eye sight and had trouble seeing the lunch menu so she told me what they had. I showed up and they hadn't even looked at it or confirmed it. No one was there behind me when I asked for it but then several people came in after me and they were served first. The girl making drinks started to make mine and another girl, who I assume was the mod, told her "walks ins are the priority"Regardless of the fact they were already 30 minutes after my order was placed and 10 minutes past the pick up time. After waiting 30 mins for the woman who was performing an interview at the time, she got up at the completion and went inside the store. My son followed her in to inquire, and she said they were too busy now and to send them an email. He did - no response. If you took the time to be there for an interview, common courtesy would dictate the interviewer should make some time to see you. Even if they made a decision on who to hire.
