After inquiring at posh nails across the street (where they would not paint one nail for me (offered to pay for the service telling them it was my fault and that I had not gotten them done there) Absolute sat me right down repainted the one nail and were kind about it not even wanting to accept money but I insisted they take it. The design was close to what I wanted so I will give her that. I didn't catch this nail tech's name, but I normally had Nancy & liked her services, but the last lady I had just did a number on my nails. I have since found a different nail salon, but if I needed to go to Absolute I would. It is quiet in there, no music & the TV is muted. If that's what you like then great, but just not the right vibe for me.

It's a cute salon that also sells a small collection of clothes and accessories. They offer you something to drink every time you come in. I see plenty of men getting their hair cut here too. I make my appointments online and wait for approval by my stylist. I've always been happy with the service at this salon! However, my stylist is opening her own salon soon so I will sadly no longer be coming to Benji, but I would still recommend it because they have several different stylists!

I had white tips but I was hoping to pay extra to go over the white tips with color, NOPE Helen said that wasn't possible I'd have to get a whole new set. I tried to explain to her my nails are thin and I'd pay extra if I don't have to put on new tips(still nope!) She also kept insisting I get shellac polish instead of the color acrylic I wanted. The guy that does my nails wasn't there yet so before he showed up she began cutting my acrylic nails with fingernail clippers and ripping them off. By the look on my face she knew it was hurting me but proceeds to tell me "see that didn't hurt at all"! Last time I got my nails done I chose 5 different blue acrylic powders from the wall to have on my nails. This time she said I can't use any of the powders on the wall, I could only choose from 5 neon colors. I ended up getting a new full set but my finger nails are hurting from her ripping my old set off. I will not be returning here. I've never had a problem any other time. Maybe she was having a bad day but not my fault. I will pay extra else where just to be treated with respect! Nobody wants to pay money to be treated poorly. (I paid $72 for ombré full set plus $15 tip)

I like getting the deluxe pedi which I feel offers way more than the regular pedi for $20 more, with the hot stone massage and paraffin wax. The deluxe pedi is $57 i think which to me is still a splurge but worth it once a month or so. I also have never been pressured to get more services, which I appreciate. In Jan/Feb Early March in mid-west regions, my hands and feet have hangnails, rough callouses (peeling skin near THUMB-nailbeds) or pesky ingrown nails. "FYI generally use bacitracin or translucent-neosporin brand for hurtful ingrown nails". I didn't opt for the usual "maroon-raspberry-red GEL", however i was definitely pleased with my manicure during my visit with a friend.
