So disappointed. I decided on the nail concierge because of its high review marks, Yelp rarely lets me down. I walked into the small salon ready to get my gel manicure and pedicure for my wedding just 2 days away. I was greeted and we discussed what I wanted. I explained that I wanted a modern approach to a french manicure something different with sparkle. She showed me some subtle sparkle and explained that it would be a dry manicure and pedicure. Let me be specific: no massaging chair, no soak, no anything. Fine. I was expecting some relaxation and pampering but there was none. There was an iPod playing but not even one old Cosmo to read and no WiFi. I have not received a gel in a while so as she applied my toe color and sparkle I thought it was looking cool. Then before I realized the gel was sealed. I asked where was my french? I was disappointed but chalked it up to miss communication and we moved on to my nails. At this point I did not want any issues so simply asked for a french manicure. What came next was a box of white artificial tips. I was very concerned and asked why those were needed. I was informed to make sure every nail was identical. I asked about the glue process and should have know then it was not a good idea. I always do my own french with paint and it comes out fine and natural. These french tips look like acrylics. The do not cover the entire nail and look cheap. I was so upset and the women doing my nails could tell. She asked what she could do to make things better but all I wanted to do was get our of there. Then she told me my total. $102...Totally ridiculous. I debating writing this review but after less then 24 hours one of my french tips came off. I couldn't believe it, never in my life have I had this issue and now I am stuck fixing my own nails 18 hours before my wedding day. read more

The Nail Concierge is like no other nail salon around. Not to sound like a sterotyping fool, however, at other salons, I'm used to having to talk very slowly and try to use different English words to get my point across, and I get not one bit of personal attention - and then usually end up with a half assed manicure, and one time was lucky enough to get a bloody gash in my foot as an added bonus (included in the price). Lexie is the complete opposite. She is very passionate and knowledgable in her profession, can explain what she's doing and why, is extremely patient and when she's finished applying my gel nails, I fully expect a tiny signature because that's how much pride she takes. They last just about 2 weeks (sometimes a tad less, depending on how you treat them). AND my favorite part - hers is THE ONLY salon in town that has the most current polish colors and trends. Being as though we're living in a Material World - er - nail art world, this is super important. Why would I pay the same price to get the same boring colors everywhere else? This place has an owner and one chair, and is on an appointment basis - you will get personal attention without a wait; you can even book online. Too bad my family never got the opportunity to possibly enjoy the services at this establishment. After purchasing a gift certificate online for one price as a result of an automatically applied discount code. I was charged more money from the merchant. I was able to get in contact with the merchant (not vice versa) regarding this discrepancy in price and was informed that I should not take advantage of a system error that I obviously had no control over. To bad because I was looking forward to rendering services at this place and potentially referring to others A good faith effort is contacting the client after the charge is processed so they are aware of what they have been charged as a result of a system error. I went to the Nail Concierge before my wedding in December. I had initially booked my mani at 4 and then my pedi at 6 but Alexi called to let me know I could do them both together which was much more convenient. The salon is a little hard to find because it is in an office building when you first walk in and then enter the Sola Salon studios. Her service is wonderful and she is very knowledgeable. I like that she doesn't cut cuticles because I always have to let other technicians know not to do that and sometimes I feel like they ignore me. My gel manicure was perfect for my wedding day and my pedicure lasted me well into my honeymoon! I only take away one star because her services are pricier than others in the area and she charged me a evening fee without letting me know she would be doing so. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than the average nail salon, but the service and results are incomparable. First is the fact that it is a private consultation. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you step in the door. We had a great chat covering every topic you can think of, and then I laid back and relaxed in that dream of a chair. Despite my calling her multiple times and providing specific times I would be reachable to provide deposit details, she left to me high and dry at the 11th hour. I will admit that we were playing phone tag, but I immediately responded to all her attempts to reach me (only two attempts made, not the 6 she claims) and provided specifics on when I could be reached. With a small child at home, I am not always able to answer a telephone call without advance notice. Not only that, but then she emailed me and lied about how many attempts she made to contact me. No parking right in front but around the corner there was free 2 hour parking. So I crossed the street and came back to the Sola Salon entrance and walked in and saw many different studios which I found interesting. I remembered Studio 16 and found it and saw 1 chair, 1 client and Lexi. I went in and it is so private! I decided to treat myself to a pedicure as I was having a particular rough day. I found The Nail Concierge and immediately loved the exclusivity and concept. I must add that I have been doing my own pedicures and manicures for years (mainly due to lack of satisfaction with many nail salons) and I've gotten pretty good at it, but it's a pain and more enjoyable to be treated. The space is cute and welcoming, Lexi only sees one client at a time and really takes her time shaping and painting your nails. Great find! Not your typical nail salon experience where you feel like you're on an assembly line. Lexie knows nails and gives you a wealth of information. I booked a gel manicure and the appointment was for an hour. Prior gel was removed without the usually filing and no damage to my nails. She is thoughtful and chats if you are so inclined, quietly professional if not. Very pleased with the final results. I am very disappointed with my experience. I thought I had scheduled my appointment for a certain time but I somehow scheduled through the online system for an hour earlier. About 15 minutes into my scheduled time I received a phone call stating that I had missed my appointment. Prior to this call I had not received a reminder call notifying me of my scheduled time. I immediately called back apologizing for the mix up and told her I would be right there ( I live a minute away) and to change my gel pedicure to a regular pedicure to balance out the missed time. I was told that I could no longer come even though there was still 45 minutes left of my scheduled time. I am unsure of why I did not receive a reminder call until it was "too late" or why I was unable to go to my appointment while there was still enough time left to get a pedicure. I was given the option to reschedule for the next 5 days which I can not do since I will be away on vacation ( hence me willing to spend $65 on a pedicure in the first place). I was charged half of the cost of my appointment. Although I was willing to spend the extra money for a good quality pedicure I would never try to book with them again due to the added stress and poor customer service right before a vacation! read more
