She let me try all the colors I wanted until I found the perfect red for me. I never felt rushed or like she was annoyed with my indecision, which is a nice change from other salons. The nail polish is natural(?) toxic-free(?) I'm not sure, but I noticed that there was no chemical smell, which is really nice. My pets appreciated that when I got home. When Willow did my eyebrows she first looked at them while I was sitting up and we spoke about her plan. I have notoriously wild eyebrows and it's very difficult to get them right so I often let them grow out after someone has gone too thin, or misshapen them. That was the case when I went to Violet- they were fully grown and bushy, and you can see the fantastic result in my photo. Willow is clearly very experienced and great at what she does. I was assured that the tan would be flawless and a light, natural glow -- exactly what I asked for. What I got was the exact opposite: a streaky, orange mess that looked anything but bridal. The spray tan artist told me she had "four years of experience" and that I'd be thrilled with the result -- right before hurrying me out to get to her next appointment. My knuckles and hands? Burnt orange. I spent hours scrubbing them in a panic, trying not to look like an Oompa Loompa in my wedding photos. I had to literally use a Brillo pad & dish soap The tan was patchy, uneven, and frankly, awful. Thank God for my gown being long sleeves -- but even with that, I still looked orange underneath and mg dress was entirely backless. Her hair was perfection, each strand of hair was in its place and the cut was so flattering as well as her color. I asked for the referral. I called Ela and scheduled 2 appointments for myself and my daughter. Last time I had a haircut this good was 17 years ago when I lived in NYC. Coincidentally, turned out we both lived in the same neighborhood and Ela knows my former stylist. She has the same training and background, we had a lot in common and our conversation was fun. . It's been 3 days since my haircut and I received so many compliments.
