Well worth the drive as this hits all the tics for a multitude of reasons. First, hands down the best breakfast. I had the abuela taco with glazed maple bacon goat cheese a tinged browned on the edges with eggs with green Chile and the honey butter biscuits with jalapeño strawberry jam Just incredible! This is just the icing on the proverbial cake. The real reason we come is the goat milk lotion and soap bars. These friends are different from all the rest. Not only does the lime and tangerine goat milk lotions keep your hands moisturized so long but the homemade bars of soap do as well. I love everything about this place. This little shop has some great homemade lotions, soaps, scrubs, etc. Your nose will get overwhelmed sniffing all the products. They do have a few antiques for sale, but nothing big. I mainly went for the food. I enjoyed the Naked Goat Salad and my only complaint is that they do not give enough dressing for the size of salad. Definitely ask for extra. The peach pie was sooooo good! I got it go which was probably a good thing cuz I would have bought the whole dang thing. The latte was super lacking, tasted burnt and was luke warm. We drove into Elbert to check it out and for some antiquing. We stopped at the naked goat bc I love goat cheese and I love goats. It's a super cute store with some really great products, but the restaurant was better than we thought it would be. I ordered my kids the grilled cheese sandwich and ended up stealing their lunch and giving them mine. The grilled cheese had goat cheese on it and was the best grilled cheese I had ever had! All the other food we ate there was fantastic as well, but I really can't wait to go back for another grilled cheese! read more

Went there this morning with my family. Heard a lot of wonderful things from other people. There were only four of us, three had biscuits and gravy and one had French toast. I only have two issues with today's visit. Service and our meals (plus coffee) were cold. One, I believe she was an owner, wasn't very friendly, she was somewhat impolite and looked as if she had to force a smile. The second is almost everything was cold even down to the coffee (except the bacon) It might be because we were the first in there. The place is warm and cozy with a modern twist on farmstead decor. They have some of their own products that they make. The smell and feel of the place was definitely inviting. The food was flavorful and super tasty it was just cold. Going to try this place again in a few weeks and probably not be the first to show up. All in all we have high expectations and hope that the service and temperature of the food is better the next time around. Great cozy place with local farm fresh food. read more

We left after ordering when we realized no one working there had masks on. There's a state mandate and the workers and owners here have no signs for masks, aren't wearing them. I didn't notice if they had hand sanitizer I'm not certain. This tells the public they don't care about their health, their own family's at home health, or their patrons. Also this says they are ignorant and defiant. If you don't care about masks that's great go here. If you do go or have health issues just know no one here is wearing masks. The girl at the front couldn't care less about customer service. I did hear they had a nice array of soaps and gifts but I didn't get to that. read more

I still recall the strawberry shake, even weeks after being there. Wow! I was there a week for the Chris Dobbins Scout Camp with my boys, and had to use their Wifi to conduct business (thank goodness for that!). But the food...well, I was in heaven. Maple bacon infused waffles topped with butter honey and maple syrup, tasty potato browns, yogurt smoothie, and the coffee...not much of a coffee drinker, but I could drink theirs every day. Now that I am back in Dallas, I am hard pressed to find a place like theirs here. I guess I will just have to wait until my next visit to Colorado. Not sure what the previous review was saying about the owner, but I found them to be wonderful. We visit the Naked Goat restaurant in Elbert CO whenever we are in the area. The owners are very friendly and the food is ALWAYS FRESH and DELICIOUS. They also have some of the best and hardiest soups I have ever tried. They are creative with the menu and there is a gourmet touch to the cooking. This place has some of the best French fries you will ever find. Naked Goat soaps, body care items and jellies can be purchased in the adjacent room. We stopped at a ranch south of Elbert to help friends load the fuselage of a hand built airplane to take it to a hanger at Meadow Lake Airport. John suggested we for lunch at the Naked Goat after we secured to plane to the trailer. What a treat! As we entered the cafe we were met with lovely fragrances and a sweet ambiance. I was impressed with the modern menu and the specials. My friend ordered the breakfast special (crouisant waffle with peach jam and bacon), John's wife ordered the lettuce wedge and an order of Mac Balls which is a ball of macaroni and cheese, breaded and deep fried, John ordered the chicken and fries, and I ordered the lunch special (ham and cheese crouisant sandwich with a salad). Our beverages were brought immediately but the meals took more time and gave the four of us time to share stories. When I saw John's fries I wanted to taste them because they were golden crispy with flakes of pepper, very yummy. The Mac Balls were shared. The one I ate was simple, quite tasty, exactly as described. My sandwich was delicious, I had substituted the suggested cheese for their goat cheese and found it to be perfect with the ham. My friend enjoyed his waffle and it looked good. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. When she asked what kind of sauce I wanted on my salad it took me a second to realize she meant dressing which I ordered the balsamic on the side and asked her to add goat cheese crumbles. The salad was a mix of baby greens with cucumber, carrots, and tomato and very good with the added goat cheese. I definitely recommend the Naked Goat Cafe. The casual relaxed atmosphere, the delicious food, makes it worth a trip to Elbert. read more
