This place was easy to book, was super accommodating, provided great service and were super friendly! The outside looks like a little red barn and inside was clean and had a relaxing/homey feeling! After a day of snowboarding (for the first time) my calves and feet were needing some attention so I ditched the slopes for the spa on day two of our trip. Although a full body massage sounded nice, I went for the Trail Mix Leg & Foot Treatment (50 Minutes at $65). This leg and foot was just what the doctor ordered! It begin with me turning on the massage chair ;) and a roasted chestnut soak and callous removal. For the next 35-40 mins my treatment included a whipped honey scrub, a skin softening chocolate mask, hot towels, a leg & feet massage with vanilla bourbon oil, lotion, & hot stones and finally ended with a Honey Heel Glaze treatment to lock in moisture -- and my feet and legs are still silky soft! At first Tarin was very gentle and I was worried the massage would be mediocre, but she blew it out of the water with the perfect deep massage on my calves and feet... She could feel how tight they were and really dug in. It was just what I needed! I do want to notate and give a shout out to Tarin for the awesome customer service when I was in a bind after making an appointment. My boyfriend went to the slopes and I was on my own... When I went to start the car it wouldn't start and as you know in this area, there is a lack of transportation if it's not to a ski resort. I called to explain the situation and she instantly said she would block off a little time after my scheduled appointment time to give me a little wiggle room to get there, and if for some reason, it didn't work out that she would not charge me a cancellation fee. This was so kind and accommodating, and I very much appreciated that understanding and willingness to be flexible despite my situation. It ease my mind they gave me time to figure out a way to get there and still enjoy my time without being stressed. Not all places will be this kind and accommodating, so I come in a small town spa for doing so! Like I said 10 out of 10 experience, I already told my boyfriend I'd be happy to come back to the area and if we do, I will definitely be making an appointment to come back here! Maybe I can talk my boyfriend into a couples treatment!

I asked and she said I was all set, as she counts the time you undress/dress before and after the massage. Which I think should have been made clear. I also stepped in dog poop once when getting off the table. She did not apologize or give me a tissue. When I asked for certain areas to be worked on during the massage she would say yes, then look at the clock. She would wait until later in the session to work that area again for me. It wasn't fun since I was in pain and that's why I asked for more work in that area. So, I guess she likes to do cookie cut massage session instead of the what the client wants. Plan on lots of yawning from her (as it always felt like she would rather be anywhere else) and a very dirty room/bathroom. I'd be leery of mentioning that the room temperature isn't right for you, she screamed at me when I mentioned that I was hot. I should have left a long time ago, but I needed work in order to keep working. Next time I'll pay attention to the red flags better and realize it's better to drive farther for a friendly and customer service-oriented practitioner

It's decorated nicely with soft colors and calming décor. My massage was great! It was a full body and so tranquil. It made my sore tired body feel refreshed and revived. I don't like to take meds, so acupuncture is a great way to help my body heal itself. The difficulty is finding someone you like... Enter Heidi into my life! I recently had horrible lower back pain that wasn't attributable to any obvious injury... I was clearly overdue for some maintenance. Luckily, Heidi emailed me back immediately and booked me at her Union Square location! I was referred to Heidi by a friend after suffering a concussion this summer. I had debilitating…read moreheadaches and nerve pain that made my head feel like it was being "buzzed" by electricity constantly. I was desperate to get some relief as nothing was working. I had never experienced an acupuncture treatment, but understood the concept. My initial visit to Heidi started with a complete review of my overall general health and what was troubling me. I had no idea at the time that Heidi had worked with athletes, so a concussion was something she was very well aware of. After my first treatment, my headache and buzzing dropped from a 10 to a 3 within a few days. Each day I felt better. The second treatment a week later really helped more and within another week, the headaches and buzzing were completely gone. Such relief! Knowing that my body was receptive to acupuncture, I asked her if she would be willing to work on an old leg injury. She promised nothing, but said it would be worth a try. I injured my IT band 7 years ago in a fall. As a result of the fall, I ended up with a hip replacement as well. Over the next 6 sessions which started out weekly and then moved to every other week - then every 3 weeks, I could actually feel a major shift and change in the way my leg was healing. Not only did Heidi provide acupuncture, she also employed Gua Sha (a form of Chinese medicine). This brought amazing changes to the scar tissue that had formed in my leg from the injury and surgery. To my amazement, the constant ache in my leg began to lessen. It's now to the point where I can play golf without pain. I've even begun to play almost every day without having to take an Advil or ice my leg. From agnostic to believer, I better understand just how quickly acupuncture can resolve an issue in the body.
