went there for Thanksgiving eve, bouncers is nice, but left multiple people in before us because he got paid. Bartenders are all always very sweet and fast to take care of you. The one man that worked in security pushed over my friend and I told him to watch where he was going and he did curse me out and called me a bitch and told me that he would get me kicked out. I just love this small business in SouthSide Bethlehem. Not only do they have great food and awesome drink options- they also are the most kind and giving people. They donated a meal to our school, and went above and beyond. We asked for enough food for 10-15 people and they gave us enough for 20-30. If you haven't tried them out yet.... I have been here a few times and the food is fantastic! My issue here was with the young indoor bartender. I overheard her mention something very derogatory about another customer waiting at the bar. She then proceeded to ignore both of us for 45 minutes and I never received my drink. She never even looked at me once. Just ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Sat at the bar on a Tuesday night. The 2 AMAZING ladies behind the bar were so welcoming and fun. The menu was great, everything looked good. We went with the tuna nachos and 2 cheese steaks. I had the chicken, my husband had steak. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more things in the menu! read more

This place has one of the best cheesesteaks in town. I really enjoyed it. The wings were no ringing remarkable. The Mac and cheese truffle bites were inedible, sadly. There was entirely too much synthetic truffle flavoring that lead to an unpleasant aroma of sulfur. The jalapeño popper bites were simply not good. They were over salted and lacked any freshness or semblance of a true jalapeño popper. The service in the evening was less than average. The server didn't offer anything remarkable. The servers outfit was a bit of a turn off, as she looked like she was going to the gym or spin class and not waiting tables. I have to admit, the place was very rowdy as we were grabbing a bite during an Eagles game on a Sunday afternoon, but that's fine it was nice that people were having fun. I've never been to The Nest, but I don't have to step foot inside or on their deck to know they clearly have little regard for the neighborhood. Between ridiculously loud televised football games and constant loud music, The Nest is essentially in our living room and bedroom four or five nights a week--two blocks away. Noise complaints to the local police don't seem to do much, unfortunately. I wish that local bar establishments could responsibly think of the sonic footprint their outside spaces create upon the general area around their location. The acoustics of the bowl-shaped South Side (valley's mountainside and five, six-story apartment buildings) lead to sound amplification, particularly several stories from ground level. We shouldn't have to keep our windows closed *and* turn on a fan or A/C *and* turn up our TV just to drown out thumping bass guitar, muddy vocals, and college football announcers at least half the nights of any given summer/fall week for hours at a time. read more
