Some friends and I met up for dinner and a couple drinks yesterday evening, and had a perfectly enjoyable time. I had the pretzel bites, which I know from past visits to this and other PJ locations, are excellent, and also a grilled cheese with tomato and side Caesar salad. No complaints about any of that. They have a good beer selection, taps and otherwise. And also fancy cocktails, frozen drinks, everything you'd expect from this kind of a nice-sized sports bar. Our waitress, Jerrah, was very friendly and patient with us as we slowly figured out what we wanted. She did a great job, stopping by often to check on us, and we never waited long for any food items, drinks, or the check. read more

OK. Let's start with the positive. The place has tons of TVs and it really has a good vibe. 4 stars. The food: I got the buffalo chicken wrap with the special peach chutney and their world famous fries (for takeout) The wrap was good with a decent amount of chicken. The fries were definitely underwhelming. 3 stars Now let's talk about the service. I arrived on a Thursday afternoon around 4 PM, not too busy and I sat at the bar. I was attended to shortly after sitting down, asked for the drink menu and a glass of water, both which I got quickly. I then sat there for another 13 minutes, waiting for her to come back for my drink order. I counted 10 instances where other servers walked past me. When she finally came back, she apologized stating she had been stuck at the serving bar(?). (And I did see that she stopped and chatted with a colleague before coming my way). I found it odd that other servers were able to attend to my check, but not my drink? Now let's talk about the takeout. The bag was dropped off and put it over to the side to finish my drink before leaving. Shortly afterwards, another server came over and grabbed my bag and said my order was mixed up with another lady (who opened the bag and saw she had my food). The server promised me that she didn't touch it and switched out our bags. Deciding to live on the edge, I left. When I got back to the hotel, I had my food, but no utensils nor ketchup for the fries. 0 Stars I see this place has 3.5 stars, but I cannot in good conscience give anything more than a 2. I am really disappointed as it's across the parking lot from where I am staying and I would've gone back there at least two more times. Hopefully others will have better luck read more

My go-to Wing Night spot. Such a good deal but get there early. Almost always a wait but I've never waited longer than 30 minutes. Where there was a wait was at the bar. The bartenders, no matter what time of day or if there's a shift change, are so lax. EACH TIME, I've had to flag them down. And you would think that service at the bar would be expedited, it has never been. In any case, I enjoy the sports bar feel esp when there is a good game playing. The food is yummy. Big birthday celebration that would have been better at home. This place seemed a little busy this night but we were seated quickly. I order wings and a vodka lemonade, looking for something different. Well, I got it seemed like the vodka evaporated before it got to the table. Well got my wings which were real good and a decent size. The blue cheese was definitely sub par and tasted metallic to me. I got a whooping 2 pcs of celery for 10 wings, guess they didn't get their order. After I finished the weak lemonade I ordered a gin and tonic, made it a double. She checked in often without being overbearing, kept our drinks full, and had a great attitude the entire time. Her excellent customer service made our visit even more enjoyable. Went to P. J. Whelihan's and n a Wednesday evening to have some of their world famous wings. The place was packed and very loud. I asked about a table and was told about 20 minutes or so. I figured because it was so busy, that service might be slow also. Not wanting to wait too long, I asked about placing a takeout order. The hostess said it would take about 15 minutes. I ordered 10 wings and pretzel bites to go. After waiting around half an hour, my order came out. I got home in about 15 minutes so the food was still warm. I tried a pretzel bite and it was over-cooked and hard with almost no salt. I ate 3 or 4 before giving up. Then I tried the wings. The chicken was cooked well but the breading was so thick and covered in too much sauce. Overall not good. I spent the next 10 minutes peeling off the breading so I could eat the chicken. This was an unexpected find and a phenomenal experience. The food is great. The beer menu is large and has some offerings I really appreciated such as the Delirium Tremens. The fifth star comes from the staff. We had such a wonderful and genuine server. It was one of those too long intervals since the last meal that leaves me indecisive but I am so happy I trusted the discretion of Kelsey. Not just what to get but how to have it. She was awesome to my son. Just awesome. Thank you. I am hoping to get back down again relatively soon. This was a great place to see the game. The background music level was great. It is standard PJs. Maybe I've just become too familiar with the place or, maybe the food isn't quite as good as it used to be. The ambience is always the same, lots of TVs tuned to decent sports shows. I'm sure my experience at this particular location is an outlier, but we had a horrible waitress. We saw her infrequently, everything was slow, and just the whole experience was sucky. It's not common for a PJs so maybe it was just one bad experience. read more

He knew his stuff, which is more than I can say for the waitress, whichever bartender made my "cosmo" and whoever overcooked my salmon to the point of menopausal dryness. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I ordered the salmon entree (which ostensibly came with broccoli and jasmine rice) AND an additional basket of fries (I was starving). The salmon came with fries *in lieu of* the rice and veggie side. No cutlery, no napkins. Just a serrated knife. We asked a nearby waitress for cutlery and she unceremoniously dumped two forks on our table. No napkins. Nice. I'll just wipe my mouth with my sleeves. We good. The elderflower cosmo cocktail was yuck. Just imagine if I HAD taken up the waitress' offer to have it dyed green (who knows? It might have improved the taste). It was supposed to include fresh lime juice and a lime garnish - I can assure you, there was not a single fresh lime anywhere near my drink. Maybe a bar-spoon of Roses lime cordial. Maybe. Stopped in with a small group and was able to meet everyone's tastes. We had someone looking for a gluten-free/gluten-light menu, a few looking for some good craft brews, and someone looking for a great steak and a Miller High Life. We had a table with appetizers, salads, burgers, steaks and chicken and nothing left on the plates when we were done. We liked dessert but no one had room. First off it's not a pub. It's an American traditional bar. I didn't have too high hopes for an old fashioned but the bar tender said she makes a good one. Not sure where they have had an old fashioned before but that was not an old fashioned. I asked for a makers mark old fashioned. And it came with a whole slice of orange lots of crushed ice and a maraschino cherry. Not how a true old fashions should be served. I didn't think much of it because of where we were so I was expecting to pay around $6 or $7 which I would have been ok with. We got the bill and it was $16 a drink! $16! If you go to some of the best restaurants in the world it's only $15-25. Not sure why it was so much just being a very basic mediocre drink. I would pay $25 a drink all day long if it was amazing but this was far from it. And after we expressed our disappointment with the price being we didn't know how much it was going to cost they didn't do anything to try and make it right. For food I got the Cheese Burger which was again pretty basic. Good but basic. Sweet potato fried were really good however. Overall disappointed for the price gouging. Staying at a hotel next to this restaurant and needed a place to get dinner. We were pretty surprised at how big it was and how busy. We waited about 29 minutes for a table. the staff was really friendly. We had Shocktop beers that were on special all day for $4. We had boneless and traditional wings that were great and a crispy Brussel sprout appetizer. That was amazing. I wanted the whole dish for Myself ! We all had great burgers! Recently when there with my family and friends for lunch right before the new year. I hadn't dined in at PJ's in a while. The experience is just like a remember. Friendly staff and good food. We brought my 1 year old daughter and she enjoyed the stairs that she could walk up and down while waiting for our food. The kids meal was great price for what you get.
