As soon as we sat down, our server Michael was ready for our drink orders, when he returned with our drinks, he asked if we needed anything else. We did, and ordered some food. It was delivered fast and hot from the kitchen. I had the cheesesteak egg rolls and smoked Gouda cheese bites. Dee-lish! 8 Michael made sure to come back promptly every time another person in our party showed up and took their order immediately. Even though it was very busy, he made sure to continue to check in on us frequently. Very impressive. To say his service is outstanding, is an understatement. It's been a long time since I have seen a server be so attentive to the customer. Michael is definitely one who I wished I had every time we went out! My family and I usually enjoy the Steel pub, we've noticed it's really gone down hill as far as service and food. The only reason we go is we love our friends that play in bands there. We were there tonight 3/15/25 to hear our friend in the band and our service was horrible. We waited 30 minutes to get a soda, I tried to order a margarita and was told they only served a regular one no other flavors. We had to ask several times for boxes for our left over food, it seemed like there wasn't enough servers at all. Our server, she seemed to be exhausted early in the night already. Our food was cold when we got it and had absolutely no taste at all. My burger tasted like a basic frozen patty, no flavor at all. Not sure how if we'll eat there next time or just eat before we get there. read more

Ok nice place. We had fun. However... maybe TMI but needs to be said. Went I went to the ladies room, the lock on two of the stalls did not unlock!! I panicked and thought I'd have to crawl under the door on the gross floor to get out! Luckily someone walked in and was able to unlock it from the outside. I mentioned it to the hostess and she said... yes, we know about this. REALLY???? You know about this issue and you CHOOSE not to fix it?????? Beer+hockey+garage door=cool place During my whirlwind tour of the greater Bethlehem Metropolitan Area with the region's handsomest tour guide, we made a stop here for a few beers and had a great time. Nice variety of beers, friendly service, and cool set up...what could be better? They had the big garage door open which let a nice breeze in, there was some hockey going on so that was fun to watch and there were plenty of TVs to catch other sports. I'm a fan. read more

In any event, I give her a call and miraculously we're still together....so in a grimy attempt for undeserved physical intimacy I offer up dinner and a visit to the casino. Now... anyone thats read 2 or 3 of my reviews has pieced together the fact that Bethlehem is not one of my favorite places to visit (unless I'm in the mood for studying pretentiousness combined with a grandiose delusion of smug self satisfaction for mediocrity along with just the WORST dregs of society....ALL IN ONE TOWN!). So, a visit to The House of Bread it is!!!! We park a block away from that God awful establishment CORKD.....ughhhhh. Then we go in..... can't wait until these one word ridiculously named restaurants get destroyed by C19! Just one look at the patrons was enough to enduce vomiting. There was a couple at the bar - from my point of view it seemed as if the chic was setting up the dude to be robbed. We are escorted to our booth....after about a good 5 minutes were asked if we want water. Uh.....YEAH!!! Another 5 minutes and the water comes and the waitress leaves.......so......we......wait.....and wait.....and wait...... while waiting, I view the menu....THE AUDACITY of these jokers..... EVERYTHING was ridiculously priced. AND they removed their cheese steak from the menu (had it one time and it was good). I was debating on the strip vs the rib eye. Then I realized we had been waiting for over 15 minutes!!! I looked at my girlfriend and asked, "wanna get outta here?". She agreed. We went straight over to Steel Pub, got drinks, burgers and a cheese steak and live music. Also got to watch a hockey practice. Avoid Corkd at all costs. I'm not sure what happened to the food since a couple of years ago but I'd think I could get better at the Tally Ho. I would not recommend the slider unless you want a cardboard tasting burger that was cut up into fours and three of them slapped on a hoagie roll with nothing else. Want a pizza? Expect a tomato pie. Boneless wings? Expect something that has been deep fried too many times and barely sauced. So sad because this place was better than this at one point, and I would've loved to watch some hockey here. read more

The service is average, the Broc cheddar bites are light and good but not filling. The artichoke dip was greasy and barely filling. They ran out of nachos at 8pm and the dumplings tasted like char. The atmosphere was fun but would not recommend personally. This was before the service changed drastically. The food is still average but the service made up for the food. We like going here because we like the T-shirt's. Twice a year, we shop and eat here. The service is good, sometimes busy but they always acknowledge you. I get the pierogies with sour cream and ask for extra fried onions- very good. The steak sandwich reminds me of Stahleys, it's a traditional LHV steak sandwich with steak sauce and pickles, we ask for hot peppers on side. On another visit yesterday afternoon, I must say, stay away from this place, unless you are there to watch your kids hockey game & even then I would suggest to eat before you go. No one came up to me at 1st, so I asked the bartender, if there was waiter service at the counter or not, she stated yes. I waited between 5 & 10 minutes, before I initiated a conversation w/ a waitress. I ordered a beer & soup du jour. Beer came over no problem, the soup I had to ask again for it after 15 minutes of waiting. The soup was brought out w/ out a napkin or crackers / bread. I was asked when I was served the soup if it was any good since some diners didn't like it. I did. After another 5 minutes, I requested a napkin & crackers. And the place was not busy, maybe half full. Soup was good, butternut bisque. Other observations Staff eating in front of customers - at least 3 staffers that I saw. Bartender was eating out of her own tupperware while standing in service bar area, in front of everyone. Really? Really - are U kidding me?? Who is running this place? Fcuking joke - Hey Steel Pub hire a restaurant manager who actually knows what they're doing. For its location (close proximity to ArtsQuest and Steel Stacks), this place totally blows a prime opportunity. We have gone here on and off for three years, usually for happy hour or a pre-event meal (like we did with the recent Ben Folds concert at Levitt Pavilion). We sat outside and waited 10 minutes for our beers. When those beers arrived, both had hair along the lip of the glass -- it was vile. Service and/or management never apologized or offered to comp the drinks. Overall, the service was shoddy. Each time our server brought a drink (including our hair-free replacement drinks), she spilled a portion of it everywhere through the grates of the outdoor table, just missing my wife's feet; each time, she made no effort to clean it up. That brings me to the food, which used to be decent level of bar food. The menu appears to have expanded; the quality has not matched pace. I had a shrimp po boy, which was bland as anything I've ever had. It came with chips in a small Lay's bag that my son has for his lunch; the pickle was missing, too, but that was the least of my worries I suppose. My wife had the tomato and mozzarella sandwich, which she described as incredibly greasy and bland. Sweet potato waffle fries, which were likely frozen, were $3 extra as a substitute. We tend to be very understanding and patient in dining situations, and prefer to not cause a stir. This experience at Steel Pub tested our patience. We will not be returning here any time soon, and we recommend any considering Steel Pub as a dining option to strongly reconsider. read more

We ordered food from here last night and had it delivered, to enjoy at home. It was absolutely terrible. We ordered the nachos and chicken fingers with fries - all things that are hard to mess up. The chicken had a terrible taste and the texture of the meat was chewy. The fries tasted as if they were not cooked throughly. The ground beef nachos did not have a great taste and actually made us sick almost immediately after eating not even the full portion of the nachos. Due to ordering two simple apps and being THIS disappointed we will not be returning to this facility again. read more

My husband and I are never disappointed when visiting the Steel Pub. There is a great beer selection with rotating drafts. Outdoor seating that caters to puppies. The bartender Carrie is awesome along with the manager whose name I never caught because he is always bouncing around helping all of his staff. A nice bar location by the steel stacks and essentially inside the ice skating rink. The outside is nice during the summer and especially during musikfest and has live music. The inside is cool with huge windows to the skating rink where you can watch hockey if it's being played with your drink. Living in Queens NY, I am often driving down 78 on my way to and from the Harrisburg area. I have eaten here over a couple of dozen times over the past few years, and this was the worst experience in food to date. Often I will detour to eat here a few times a month on the weekends on our drive home in order to avoid standard fast food on the side of the highway because you get what you pay for, right? I guess not so much anymore... There were two of us who sat to have a beer and boneless wings while our "to-go" food was being prepared. Beers and wings were great, however, upon opening the food containers in the car, I was extremely disappointed. Menu option #1: Cheeseburger Sliders (4 Koehler Farm's beef sliders with American cheese). These were a complete joke and were not even sliders at all, but rather 1 beef pattie that was cut into 4 sections and put on the mini slider buns. I have NEVER seen a slider presented in this fashion. If they were out of slider patties, then we should have been informed. Poor customer service and respect to a paying customer. Like we weren't going to find out it was 1 super thin pattie when we opened the container? And I will never again substitute out the chips for $3 sweet potato fries because they were horrible. Extremely chewy and there was about 10 chips total in the container - not the quality , nor quantity of what I would expect for $3!! Menu option #2: BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (slow roasted, topped with house made coleslaw) This tasted very good and was not swimming in sauce , which can often happen. Very delicious, but I'm sure it would have been better topped with the coleslaw which it was supposed to have. I chose this pulled pork from there menu specifically because it had coleslaw listed, but it was not given to me in the container. Poor Quality control! And for $12, I would expect real house made chips on the side, not a bad of Lays. Needless, to say, it will hard to get me to eat here again anytime soon. Very unfortunate to say because I always looked forward to splitting my ride from Harrisburg to NY with some nice atmosphere and good food. read more

the bar is in a good location with plenty of parking. That's about all I can say that's good about it. Whichever bartender works Sundays is god-awful. There is nothing like sitting there with an empty glass while she shovels food into her mouth at lightning speed. She looks and acts miserable and looks like she just rolled out of bed 2 minutes before arriving there. Considering I was there at lunchtime, you would think MAYBE she would ask if we wanted menus. Not so much. No big deal though, i can do your job for you. So we flag her down and ask for one, at which point she grabbed a menu and just threw it down to the left of us. 10 minutes later she comes back asking "did you want to order or do you want to wait?" No bitch, i've already waited a half hour for food after partying at Palmer Days for 3 days. I'm hungry and I'm hungover. Feed me immediately. Finally ordered food. I am sitting at the end of the bar, and I have my elbows on the bar. Instead of putting our food down in front of us, like a normal human being would, she basically shoves my arm out of the way with the food and puts the food down to my left. What the... The food is ok. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders which are pre-made patties and are completely flavorless. The mozzarella sticks were undercooked. Fries are good though. read more

Tap selection is very good as are the mixed drinks. The burgers and fries are also very good. Above average customer service if you sit at the bar. If you sit at a table, the service is spotty based upon your server. So sit at the tables at your own risk. Cool atmosphere and you can watch hockey through the glass window into the rink. read more
