I will say this is a very cute store. I bought a few things from them and this is my experience. I bought a couch with a chaise lounge. Once I got it home I noticed the stitching was all wacky and their was not enough stuffing in them. Also, the seat of the couch did not line up with the back of the couch. I thought well he said he gave me a discount to $1200 dollars from a man who bought the couch and did not like it once it came in. Was not a deal. Also they upsale you for decent covering because the one that usually comes cheap is very cheap. I ended up giving the couch to my sister after a couple months. Next I bought a very expensive rocker recliner. It does not stay reclined, it moves forward and it too has very little cushion on both the leg part but mostly on the back. it hurts my so much I cannot sit on it, and everyone who visits and sits on it says its horrible. Its to late for me to do anything as I should have right away, but after 2 deaths in my family I did not have the time or patience to deal with that. However I did with the couch and all they did is come and stuff some more stuffing in it. I should have told them to take it back right then, but they are nice and I felt bad. but after 3K in a couch and recliner I could not sell it for half of what I paid within a few months because of the quality. Same for the sleep shop in Grass Valley, same owners and quality is AWEFUL! Please take a look at most of the 5 stars they are mostly not local so probably friends or family. Some not even close like Idaho!!! All reviews are not exact and you have to take your chances but from what I have noticed when most come from out of the area it is likely not true! read more

My wife had wanted to stop by and see what they had to offer. A very quaint local home goods store. Some of the kitchen items were unique, and probably would not be available at a William Sonoma or SLT. My wife proceeded to shop, placing items on the counter for final decision to be made at time of checkout. Little did we know the clerk proceeded to ring up each item. Inevitably, there was only one item she decided not the purchase as she only intended to purchase the color she wanted and she returned it to the original location. Well, as you can guess, we didn't check the receipt upon departing. A day later I ask my wife why it was so expensive ($149) for those small items. She reviewed the receipt and discovered we were charged for two crosses when they lay on the counter (one gold and one white - she returned the white one). Of course my wife called to address the issue with the staff, and she was told there is no proof and they would not credit us. We were not even given the benefit of the doubt. I guess they could have made an offer to check their cross inventory versus cross sales, but that would entail work on their end. Nonetheless, lesson learned, check the receipt before leaving, but also we will not be shopping there if they would not even make an attempt to vet the issue. read more

After 15 years it was time for a new couch. We did our do diligence and went to every freaking furniture store within 50 miles, changed our minds 15 times, and nearly destroyed our marriage and family trying to find the right set. All the big places tried to cram their stuff down you throat and convince you that what they had was really what you wanted, not what you asked for that they didn't have. Then someone suggested The Nest as a local place they had gotten some stuff from. We went in and it was jam packed with nice things but different that most the cookie cutter places. Bottom line is your going to like what your going to like and have to buy from the place that has what you want, but you should hope it's the Nest that has it. Coy was great. Walked us through our options and what he had that might meet our needs (which was small space stuff). We struggle with the decorative side and he offer to call his wife and have her come down to help us out. I loved the local feel of the place and that most the stuff we looked at was made local or at least in the USA. Ended up with not only a couch but also a complimenting chair and pillows for less than the couch at lazy boy. I write this review from my new recliner. read more

The absolute nicest family runs this business and gives excellent customer service as well as high quality furniture. We recently purchased a mattress and adjustable base from their other store the Sleep Shop. While we were there they told us about the Nest so we went over to see it and ended up falling in love with a sectional sofa. We were able to customize it and cannot wait for it to be delivered. What sets this business apart is their level of customer service. They provide free delivery and handle everything if there would be any issue with your product. They don't try to up sell you on extras that you don't need. They had it delivered and made special arrangements for me to get it early and I so appreciated that. Coy made it all happen. My initial contact with the business was through a Facebook message that was responded to the same day. I inquired about a bedroom set and they checked inventory and got back to me quickly with a phone call. We had a personal appointment today to see the furniture in person while the store was closed to the public due to coronavirus. The store was full of high quality furniture and decorations. We were given the chance to browse and found a completely different set that we absolutely love! They are delivering it next week and we couldn't be more happy. My sister told me about this place Which would beat the price by $300 to $400 with delivery. The people were very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. I have been meaning to go in for a while and finally did. It was not what I had expected which was a bunch of leftover things that didn't sell elsewhere. It is ADORABLE. They have tons of country-ish,shabby-chic-ish furniture and decorations as well as practical and well made MODERN furnishings. The owner was there when I went in and the staff as well and everyone is very welcoming and helpful. They have great return policies and their prices are great too. The best place EVER!!!! First of all, I had gone into The Nest Home Store a few times just to browse and there are so many wonderful things that I knew that I would be back. Fast forward to last weekend when, on a bike ride, my husband broke 6 ribs and could not lie down to go to bed. We were in a pickle and needed to find a solution. So, we looked around for rising recliners, but no other furniture stores cared. That is until we called The Nest. They spoke with my husband, and immediately sent us pictures of some potential options. When we got there, they were super helpful and because of our dire need they delivered it the same day- to Cool nonetheless. I cannot express my gratitude for this place! They are a store with integrity and they truly care about people and their community. I finally broke down and bought a new couch. Went to The Nest here in Auburn and am very glad I did. Besides getting a comfy and affordable one, it was delivered within 10 days. They even took my old one away at no charge! Even the young men (family?) who delivered my sofa were kind enough to move the couch around until I found the right spot. Okay I'm going to be the exception here. My experience is not a fantastic one. Having purchased two swivel chairs less than a year old both back cushions of the chairs have broken down and now appear deflated and wrinkled. One appears to have a large indentation and will no longer fluff up. I contacted them and they were obliging to a point. They sent a truck out to assess the chairs, they took pictures and informed me they would get back to me. Which indeed they did with a phone call in which I was informed the chairs did need addition stuffing which was being ordered and I would receive within two weeks a return call and a date when they would be picked up to rectify the problem. Well that call was on Jan 7th and as of today April 6 I have heard nothing from them. So all I can say at this point is "Buyer beware." read more
