Consists of the Newschool for general studies, Eugene Lang a.k.a Writing school, Parsons design school, Milano Business grad school, Mannes classical music, Jazz school, and Drama. very new combo that is still changing minor things, like school names and building names, and such around. apparently all schools under the university are prestigious in their respective fields, even though students within think their school's the best and the other ones are unknown/overrated. main buildings located in the Union Square area, about the NYU campus. sadly, it's campus cash is not accepted in most restaurants and deli's like NYU's, but the people deal with it. Own great design library shared with other colleges and Universities in the city. pretty much offers most of the majors in a normal University. cheerio.

Great school with lots of connections and the ability get you internships in almost any field. Downside, it is really expensive.

Throughout my time here, I have found the administrative staff to be unhelpful and difficult to reach. Inquiries sent via email or made over the phone frequently go unanswered, and in-person requests for assistance are often dismissed without adequate solutions. Based on these persistent communication issues, I cannot recommend this school to prospective students looking for a supportive academic environment.

Butler Library and Avery Architectural Fine Arts Library have beautiful interiors that are ideal look for a historic college library, as well as the modern style of Engineering Library. Among them, I like Lehman Social Sciences Library the most, though I rarely take SIPA courses, there is a microwave on the sixth floor of the building to heat meals, and small self-study rooms, which is very suitable for spending a whole day reviewing for exams and writing the thesis. One of the great things about the Columbia Library is that you can find almost every kind of study space here. Study on the second-floor mezzanine, study in the quaint rooms with low light, study in the small rooms like telephone booths, study on the edge of the numerous bookshelves... They have desks in almost every corner of the library, and you can always find a study atmosphere that attracts you.

Dorms look very ugly and old. Anyways, you can see stars at night when you look up on a normal night without any storm. Lots of nice greenery all around you like you're not in New York City. There's also a lot of fireflies in the bushes and grass at night. The food in the kitchen is really good. Their lunch trays are navy when I used to go there and is big enough to hold a lot of food. I came here for a business camp back when I was in high school and their facilities were really spacious to accommodate us.
