I recently took my driving test and unfortunately failed because of unclear and unsafe instructions from the instructor. During the test, I was in the left-hand lane when he told me to "go right." I asked for clarification since that instruction didn't match where I was on the road, but he repeated "go right" several times. So I followed his direction exactly as stated, even though I knew it wasn't correct, because he insisted multiplee times! Afterward, instead of acknowledging the confusion, he made comments about my disabilities and told me to "stop making excuses" and "you have a lot of diseases all of a sudden" when literally all I said was that I have dyslexia & Autism and need his instructions to be clearer... I wouldn't be as upset about failing if it were because of my OWN mistake, but in this case, the error happened because of unclear and inconsistent instructions from the instructor. So Long story short, he told me to cut across lanes and cars to make a right turn instead of letting me take the left and correct it. We had the best experience testing with Watertown Next Street. Dan P. (the test host) provided a warm and welcoming experience. He made sure everyone that was testing at the same time was prepared. He had pictures and tons of helpful hints to make sure the test went well. My new driver was able to relax and laugh before the test, allowing for an easy transition into the test. This is probably a good school. But they are not ready to operate post COVID. If you require assistance in the next weeks or month, please avoid. They are weeks delinquent in sending certificates, do not answer the phone. Do not return calls. And have turned off their call center in order to avoid customers. We paid several hundred dollars and cannot recommend it until they are staffed and ready to serve students. We cannot book a DMV test until we receive the certificate. Class was completed almost a month ago. Sorry for the poor post. A read more

Excellent course. Everybody is very nice and caring. My granddaughter got her license very easily. She loved her driving instructors.

A man named Dean was my instructor. He was extremely patient with me. I was super nervous to drive and he made me feel so comfortable, safe, and relaxed. Great experience overall. This was the best experience! We were able to make all of our appointments with ease and never had to worry about them being canceled last minute. My daughter was so prepared for the test that she passed with flying colors! My son did the boarding school package for driving lessons. The Next Street made it very easy to take classes for him, helped arrange driving lessons, and helped him find other locations to continue with classes and lessons when he came home for break. We had such a positive experience that my son decided to test at their location. It was the best decision! The morning of the test, we walked into the office and there was a friendly greeter, a wonderful woman who had my sons paperwork ready and offered words of encouragement and even offered to show videos while he waited. My son said the person who tested him was friendly and made him feel at ease! This was a much different experience than what we've heard from others that tested at the DMV. So my son struggled with passing his road test because the examiner from the DMV obviously has a problem with god knows what and ran tests up to 30 minutes which was obviously very intimidating. The first time out he failed my son for not making a right quick enough and not looking long enough over his shoulder. The second time he just made a lot of mistakes because he had the same examiner who once again had him out for 30-35 mins??? Being like any mama bear I called and raised hell! Seeing that each time he failed we had to pay another $150. Spoke with Jeff Smith who went above and beyond. He scheduled a third exam, took time out of his day to take my son out for an evaluation prior to exam, and on test day made sure he would have a different examiner. Needless to say he passed and stated that the previous examiner's goal was to make sure he would never pass but the examiner he had on his third test was very nice and made him feel relaxed and confident and test was the standard 10-15 mins. never gave correct address to classroom. Four families were at the address on the bottom of our emails, and waited over an hour at wrong place on Sunday. Called Next street but they don't answer on Sundays. Called on Monday told correct address and sorry for confusion and they understood why we would be upset, but offered no solution. I also received an offer for 2hours of driving class and testing at Next Street for $39.00, when I said yes I would like that offer I was told sorry that was sent in error. So far a Horrible experience. read more
