The property manager at this complex was regularly asked to perform maintenance tasks outside the scope of her role. Despite explaining that she was not a maintenance worker and requesting help, she was still expected to carry out these assignments. While performing one of those tasks, she fell from a ladder and suffered a serious injury. While recovering and on workers' compensation, she received a letter stating that if she did not return to work by a specific date she would be terminated. Wanting to keep her job, she appeared on the date listed in the letter. When she arrived, she was informed that she had already been dismissed because medical paperwork from her doctor indicated she had not yet been cleared to return to work. It is important to note that she was also a paying tenant at the property. Like many employee housing arrangements, she received a discounted rate while employed, but she still paid rent. After being terminated, she attempted to pay the full, non-discounted rent so she could remain in her home while recovering from her workplace injury. The owner refused to accept the rent payment and instead initiated eviction proceedings. As a result, someone who was injured while performing work requested by the property owner is now without her job and facing the loss of her housing despite attempting to meet her financial obligations. Situations like this raise serious concerns about how workers and tenants are treated when they are injured on the job. When someone is hurt performing tasks assigned by their employer and then faces termination and eviction while still recovering, it raises difficult questions about fairness, responsibility, and how vulnerable employees and tenants are supported when something goes wrong.

Bathroom plumbing would constantly leak and smell bad as the wood started rotting, and they told me it's normal. Heat broke in the apartment during the peak cold months and they took weeks to fix to the point where I had to stay with my parents for a few weeks (no rent reduction for the heat issue) . I had to obtain a whole lawyer and threaten a lawsuit for them to fix the heat , and when my lawyer called them, they magically fixed it within a day after not doing so for weeks. Also there is more dust, spiders, beetles,etc in this apartment than I could even count. Probably ran into several daily that I got used to having bugs. The problem is the staff is genuinely friendly , it's not their fault, just a horrible horrible company that owns this property that literally puts its tenants out to die via cold/mold/dusts/bugs. I get the chills everytime I even drive by this place to this day. Would never consider this place again even if the rent was a dollar a month!!!

However, I started having difficulties with a neighbor who started keeping track of my schedule and my whereabouts. She has, on multiple occasions, told me how she knew I was or wasn't home and whether I was home "late" in addition to other erratic behavior. When I expressed concern for my safety to the leasing office, they told me in person that if anything else happened, they would move me to another apartment. Despite repeated requests by phone, in person and by email, they never confirmed this in writing. Now that this type of behavior has continued and I have requested to be moved or break my lease, they have become completely unresponsive. I have sent an email nearly every day for a week and a half and they have all gone unanswered. Additionally, the weight of the toddler in the apartment above mine was enough to cause a ceiling light fixture to come crashing down one day when he was running around. The office did respond by fixing the light, but did not address my subsequent concern over the integrity of the building. It is unfortunate that an apartment that could be a nice place to live is managed by people who clearly do not care about the comfort or safety of their paying tenants.

We met Henry over at Trenton Block, where we looked at various products, pavers, and materials. He even gave suggestions on designs and concepts. He and his crew were always on time and cleaned up at the end of every day. It took about 6 days for them to complete the job, and they even leveled out my backyard with the extra dirt removed from preparing the area. These guys do quality work, and their attention to detail was immaculate. Seeing pictures of their previous work, I left the design of the borders and accents to them but they kept me informed of what the final design plans were. I can't tell you how amazing it turned out and I cannot wait to enjoy my beautiful backyard space this summer and even into the fall. Henry and his crew are hardworking, friendly, and very honest. They will give you a product built to last and of quality craftsmanship. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed!!!
