This little breakfast place is a gem in Pembroke. They feature a large selection of crepes that are all quite different but are mostly broken down into the sweet crepes and the traditional ones. Along with the food items, it is a nice cafe with quality Lattes, Cappuccinos and hot chocolates. I have gone there three times and the service has been fast and courteous and the food and drinks superb. My favourite dish is their spinach & feta crepe w/ butter, it is absolutely delicious. read more

Beautifully restored building inside with nice decor and lots of seating. Wait staff were very friendly. Large menu with lots of variety of savoury and sweet crepes, salads and appetizers. I've been here before and the food was good but this visit was a bit disappointing. I had the "Faro" crepe (maybe the most expensive one at $30) with shrimp, bacon, asparagus, Mornay sauce, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The melted mozzarella on top was tasty and the shrimp were cooked well. It was pretty good overall but the parm inside wasn't melted which gave it an odd texture. Side "Nook" salad with walnuts and feta was yummy. We had the Brie sticks appetizer. Brie wrapped in phyllo with walnuts and a fruit chutney. I thought it was good but my gf didn't like it so I ate it all myself. She had the La Campagne ($20) with Swiss cheese, herbes-de-provence, sautéed thyme mushrooms, white wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. I had a red wine sangria which was ok. I kind of expect sangria to have a few different kinds of fruit pieces in it but it had three small chunks of just orange. For dessert we split the Fandango ($10) with dark & milk Lindt chocolate, pecans, caramel. Very good, sweet but not too sweet. There were only a couple other tables seated when we arrived but it filled up throughout our stay. Though the servers were very friendly and knowledgeable the dishes came out rather slowly and it took a while to get our plates cleared and get the bill. So I'm afraid I have to give it three starts. I can't give it four but would have given it 3.5 if that was an option. Not the best dining experience ever but I'll probably eat here again. read more

I give this place 3 stars, the food is delicious, great for a weekend brunch. The staff is courteous when you go to the restaurant. The loss of 2 stars from this reviewer, they don't answer the phone when I want to make a pickup order. When they do answer, they leave you on hold until you can't take it anymore and hangup. Then when you try to call back, the phone goes straight to voicemail. I recommend using an app to order takeout, but make sure you leave an hour grace period. I had supper this evening with my pal, Sandra, at The Nook Crêperie. We both ordered a Bonne Pomme Crêpe and it was delicious. It was served warm and gooey so the cold ice cream was a nice contrast. Delicious food and great coffee. They have a Nutella and banana crepe which I absolutely love. My other go-to is their Leonardo which has the classic chicken, sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. I love coming here with my friends. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy. It's got a fancy feel but still very casual and welcoming to all. Its also reasonably priced. Found this place after consulting yelp. With only one very good review, we thought it a worthwhile risk over the Irving truck stop. Wow. Delicious crepes for every taste! I had the Nook Melt and the braised beef was tender and fall apart in your mouth. I had the Nook salad on the side and the walnuts were full of flavour. My brunch buddies had the Bacon Mushroom Swiss crepe and the Popeye crepe and they reported that they were also delicious. The crepes were surprisingly filling so we had no room to try the dessert crepes-- but there is always next time! Wow! Took a chance on this restaurant on our third visit to Pembroke. Our only regret? We missed it the first two times here. This food is incredible! We also ordered a few gluten free crepes and I was impressed with how they compared to the regular ones containing wheat - they held up and tasted great. I've been many times and I just can't resist the Kensington with its rich white wine cream sauce covered in sautéed mushrooms done to perfection. But then the dessert menu arrives - and it'll blow your mind!! The food was ok, and the service was good. Accomodations are a little cramped, though tolerable. The food was good, just not my taste. There was too much garlic for my liking and the sausage in the sausage crepe was a let down. By the time I left I found myself wishing there was more than just crepes...but what else would you expect from a creperie. read more
