The bread was a perfect mix between durable so that it wouldn't fall apart in your hands, but soft enough that it was enjoyable, with the amount of bread contemplating he rest of the fillings just the right amount. I was pretty overwhelmed to be honest with how good it was. All of the ingredients including the lettuce (which I've found is usually the first thing places will skimp out on) were extremely fresh. I put in my coworker groupchat: "Anyone coming over across Canada after the season has to make a stop in Ottawa if they aren't already just to try one of these." My Nonna is always telling me how I need to learn Italian to be more connected to our culture and I've always just kindof brushed it off since I haven't needed to use it and we don't speak it much at home, but this has made me so proud to be Italian. Cool place with some front window seats, 4 booths and a larger table that fits 10 or so people. Their specialty looks to be a juicy lucy aka patty stuff with cheese the melts when you cook it. I ended up getting a cheeseburger combo. The burgers are good. They're in tough competition with some really good burgers down the street...which are about $10+ more expensive though. Combo your meal for $4 which gives you fries and drink. I enjoy the fries as well. They also have some interesting sides like tornado fries, poutine, sweet potato fries and a few others which I think you can upgrade to. The "Beast Style" fries are seasoned crinkle fries (spicy red pepper, garlic, paprika, sugar, and lime), then the fries are topped with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. The fires were crispy, the curds were squeaky and the gravy was delicious. They recently launched their Brew Bar at this location, so now they also sell Root Beer slushies, fruit smoothies, creamy shakes, frozen lemonade, cold brews and lattes. We were there during this launch. They had a DJ playing tunes, the place was decorated with balloons and they had a spin the wheel game set up out front to win A&W merchandise.
