Small plates menu. Watch GF ingredients

Most of the menu is GlutenFree or has substitutions. Feature specials sounded great, but I was looking for a nice soup and salad Chef made a special bowl of the potato soup, and it was lovely. Went very well with the glass of Riesling I ordered. Chef also made me a special salad dressing - not that the vinaigrette didn't sound tasty, but to make sure it was safe for me. Wine list covered a good range and prices were quite reasonable. I was too busy getting my order in to the chef to grab photos of the menu, and too hungry to get pics of the food when it arrived!! Service was by no means slow, I'd just missed lunch and being later, the rumbles ruled! For a Monday night business was steady. Lots of single diners made use of the two-person booths. I've dined here for breakfast as well and they've been able and willing to serve safe and filling meal for me.

Had this amazing server named Dimitri, a real MVP! Very funny and entices "The Office" dining experience. We were seated promptly despite the restaurant being fully booked, however we had made reservations before hand. ‍ Our meals came out promptly after ordering. Dimitiri informed us of the menu and the promotions of the day, that being "steak night (2 for 1 prime rib - 14oz Alberta raised beef, supposedly never frozen)". We had a bottle of Pinot Noir from Chile to go with our prime rib, and some calamari to prep us for the mean course. The meal portion was absolutely monstrous, barely finished half of it. The red wine sauce poured on the prime rib is beyond delicious, I'll definitely be returning to try other cuisines listed on their menu. This spot is worth a look or two!

A little wine is in order. Argentinian Malbec. Yes please

Service is always top shelf, then the food follows up right behind it.. it just doesn't get any better than that.

Going down at a few minutes past 9:00 it was all packed up, so off we went to Major's. A little miffed already we were told to grab a table, which we did, and then sat there for, in my mind, too long prior to getting menus. From there it got better, but our server seemed a bit disinterested and wishing she was elsewhere. We both ordered the Majors breakfast. Bacon and eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The choices of bread available was extensive and we settled on the house made bread, what a great choice, the pieces were huge. My sunny up eggs were nicely cooked, the hashbrowns well cooked and the bacon thick and crispy as asked for. The lovely K picked eggs poached medium which they also were. We found the food cooled very quickly, maybe some warm plates might be in order. The ambiance could use an upgrade, and it looked like someone had run into the exterior corner of the building with hasty repairs evident. Halfway through our meal, we somehow got the other server that was on, and she was far more engaged. We had a nice chat while paying heating of her experience going to school in Ontario and being home for the Summer. Solid amount of food quite well prepared at very fair prices in our mind.

Firstly, I must add that Cora's one of my all time classic favs breakfast joints; it's one of the…read morevery first breakfast restaurants I really enjoyed and just connected with their offerings over the years. Having dined at multiple locations throughout the country; with each being a pleasant and fulfilling dining experience. My first ever Cora's breakfast-brunch experience was in NL, it really put me onto the breakfast train; prior to that I would often abstain from having breakfast and opted for a bigger protein filled lunch. Now for today; this breakfast day started all the same as always, we arrived and were seated within minutes. Sanitized our hands prior to being seated as per most restaurant's health & safety "norm of the present" procedure. I started my breakfast with 2 smoothies, the strawberry-blueberry & the mango banana smoothie. Whereas my fiancé had a mug of coffee. Following up she ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, meanwhile I opted for the bowl of oatmeal and ended up ultimate changing it to Jo Construction breakfast. Our food came out within a good amount of time; but I think the folks forgot to add the tastiness to the meals. My breakfast was bland, bacon felt like I ordered a side of bacon from one of the fast food places and even those are a bit thicker then the paper thin bacon I got. My fruits, awe yes the fruits; mostly weren't ripe, tasted off, my fiancé had strawberries/ blueberries that were mushed up, that had already started progressing through the rotting process, the melon tasted off as well. The breakfast sausages I got followed through on that off-putting consistency. We didn't finish any of the breakfast, we couldn't, we didn't enjoy the meals at all, and the only exception/ best part of the breakfast was probably the 2 smoothies I had, honestly can't mess that one up. And that's disappointing to me, I have eaten at some 10 different Coras locations with each and every one being consistently delicious, I visit each Coras with the expectation I am going to get that Chez Coras consistency from East-West Coast and vice versa. The lack of change in menu offerings or mastering what's offered at this coras location is just unbelievable. I have ate here about 5 times and each and every time has been worse then the last, never missing the point of disappointment for me and each party I have dined with. I got to give this location props on the downhill consistency, if anything I believe the dining experience is heading in one direction and maybe, just maybe, that is generally accepted as the norm now. I mean I could be totally wrong and there is no disconnect, which I highly doubt. I just don't know how a location that specializes in "Breakfast" can consistently go so wrong and totally miss the point and importance of it. My fiancé's smoked salmon Benedict was cold as can be and tasteless, not the first time at this location either. She's big on her Eggs Benedict at Coras. As I mentioned above her fruits were just off-putting as well, with the berries being rotten as well. Imagine bananas just tasted half ripe, oranges tasting like someone ripped them off the tree licking that juicy flavour we're all used to. Coras in GP didn't do those fruits any justice! Neither did they do their meals any justice! Other then the service of the servers here which are always just perfect, the food here completely took this location off my breakfast map. Definitely not planning on returning here anytime soon, I hope your dining experiences here is much more better than mine; happy dining!
