As we are staying in the hotel and didn't feel like driving after we had done so all day. Most of the Yelp reviews are from eons ago, so weren't much help given the time that has passed. Our server was all by herself it seems, although there was another staff member wandering around doing nothing the menu is fairly limited which hopefully means the items should be tried and true. That was somewhat the case with a few notable omissions. My Linguine Meatballs were quite good, with three good sized meatballs and a good portion of pasta, that was just a little too done for my liking. The lovely K had the Lemon Garlic Tomahawk Pork Chop. The chop as a little over, but we know how people can be with pork. The cannellini prosciutto mash was anything but a mash with the beans whole , and not mashed at all. It was tasty but not what was expected. We shared a small Harvest salad that was quite good, and a decent size. The decor is hotel, nothing special at all, and has weird chain hanging around the outside. It does however not seem like the front desk is 30 feet away so there is that. Overall it was barely in the four range, but far from a three. If you're staying at the hotel , you might as well give it a go. We also popped into the Skylark pub the following afternoon for happy hour and it was ok. The potato skins had all the right ingredients, just no flavour or seasoning. The price also was pretty high for what it was. read more

Food was below average and service was horrible. Staying in the hotel for business and thoroughly disappointed. The breakfast buffet was gross, poached eggs in a buffet? Dry and gross! Cobb salad with wilted lettuce and brown avocados, inedible. Had to wait for over 15 minutes after being seated to be acknowledged! My spouse and I never regret stopping in for a great Prime Rib here. The ambiance is comfortable. The staff is always great. The prime rib served with mashed and veg, come in a red wine reduction that just makes the meal. The 14oz cut has never been anything less than perfect. We make it a point to come whenever possible. They also have a great deal on Thursday's that finds their prime rib at a two for one rate. Best deal in town. Keep it up guys! read more

Most of the menu is GlutenFree or has substitutions. Feature specials sounded great, but I was looking for a nice soup and salad Chef made a special bowl of the potato soup, and it was lovely. Went very well with the glass of Riesling I ordered. Chef also made me a special salad dressing - not that the vinaigrette didn't sound tasty, but to make sure it was safe for me. Wine list covered a good range and prices were quite reasonable. I was too busy getting my order in to the chef to grab photos of the menu, and too hungry to get pics of the food when it arrived!! Service was by no means slow, I'd just missed lunch and being later, the rumbles ruled! For a Monday night business was steady. Lots of single diners made use of the two-person booths. I've dined here for breakfast as well and they've been able and willing to serve safe and filling meal for me. read more

Had this amazing server named Dimitri, a real MVP! Very funny and entices "The Office" dining experience. We were seated promptly despite the restaurant being fully booked, however we had made reservations before hand. ‍ Our meals came out promptly after ordering. Dimitiri informed us of the menu and the promotions of the day, that being "steak night (2 for 1 prime rib - 14oz Alberta raised beef, supposedly never frozen)". We had a bottle of Pinot Noir from Chile to go with our prime rib, and some calamari to prep us for the mean course. The meal portion was absolutely monstrous, barely finished half of it. The red wine sauce poured on the prime rib is beyond delicious, I'll definitely be returning to try other cuisines listed on their menu. This spot is worth a look or two! read more

I come here on business one week a month for 4-5 months every year. Great place to relax and eat a great meal. Fair wine list as well. It is a bit pricey but the food is well cooked with great presentation If recommend The Office. read more

We travel and follow the Tripadvisor reviews. We chose the Pomeroy and were delighted to find The Office restaurant to be #1 restaurant in Grande Prairie. We can say, it held up to its #1 rating. As hotel guests we had breakfast bufffet. But their dinner was excellent. We had the 2 for 1 steak dinner. New York steak made exactly requested with fresh veggies and starch. We started with their caesar salad and garlic bread. With coffee and cheesecake and their chocolate lava cake for dessert. Was so delicious, we ordered the same exact meal the following night! Chef Chanakam walked out and asked us how our meal was and told him we were from Hawaii. We traveled the world and it is so rare when chefs come out to speak to the diners. Chef Chanakam was so personable and very much enjoyed speaking with him. We just LOVED this restaurant. Great job! read more

We went for the 2 for 1 prime ribs and will not return. The auju is so sweet it's quite disturbing. The baked potatoe was cold and tasted stale. Veggies were cold and over cooked. The $14 Caesar beverage was so disappointing, how can an olive and pickle spear warrant charging that much? Our friends opted for pasta and they were disappointed as well. Over cooked noodles and meatballs that were tasteless and difficult to cut because they were so tough. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we'll not go back. read more

Went to Office on New Years Eve after great reviews. Ordered a lovely bottle of wine and the crab dip. The dip came with pita bread and fresh home made tortilla chips. The dip itself was brown/mustard color and did not taste much like anything so switched for bruschetta. Ordered rack of ribs and steak salad. My ribs, good amount of meat, appeared to be precooked/boiled or baked and brushed on one side with bbq sauce. The underside of the ribs were without bbq sauce or any other seasoning. Did not match the elegant menu description. Under ribs was a bleak iceberg lettuce salad and luke warm fries. Steak salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, fresh veggies, cafeteria style blue cheese and a burnt steak. I wanted to complain but my wife wouldn't let me. When I only ate 1/3 of my meal the waitress asked if I wanted my food to go...I said no and was surprised not to be asked if everything was ok. I have never written a restaurant review before now. OMG - Absolutely horrible experience. We had a reservation for brunch on March 20, 2022 for our 6 person family and choose The Office as they used to have the best brunch in town. Now because of COVID restrictions their Brunch has been limited to a small menu...which we knew of going in - no big deal. Once seated, we waited 15 minutes for a server to come to our table and introduce herself. 10 minutes later, she returned, introduced herself twice and gave us water and she took our order. Another 15-20 minutes she returned with our coffee. 10 minutes more and she returns to clarify our order and informs us the eggs are cooked but she can't remember what we wanted with them....which was off the menu, no changes. so now it's been over an hour, - no coffee refills or explanation as to what's taking so long. Our plates are brought out one by one, approximately 5 minutes apart. The potatoes were excellent but the rest was pathetic! It was over 2 hours for eggs & bacon once we left. Made a reservation for when my flight came in, made the reservation a week in advance using open table thus including my phone number and email address. Received multiple confirmation emails. When my flight was delayed, phoned the restaurant 1 minute following the reservation time to let them know we were on our way, was informed that the kitchen was closed. Not sure how I was able to make a reservation if the kitchen closes at that time. Very disappointed. read more

Went to their breakfast brunch and was the worst I have had. Took forever to be seated when it was not busy. Food was less then sub par is taste and quality. Crepes where gritty and Luke warm at best. Then when it was clear we where done I'm pretty sure we waited more time to pay then we took to eat not to mention paying over 50 bucks for 2 people. I could get it if we order special coffees or something but for 2 water and two oj's. Get real. Never again avoid this place like it's the plague read more

I have been to The Office on several occasions for lunch and a couple of times for Dinner. My first experience was shortly after they opened and I must say, the menu is a welcome to fine dining in Grande Prairie, and the Chef's have never left me dissapointed. So much to recommend, however if I had to choose one from each menu...Lunch:Tuna Tataki...Dinner: Duck Confit. At the begining the waitstaff were not very professional and were lacking in service. However since then The Office has a great team that work well together. Dimitri, Bill and Ashley have given us exceptional service. It's about time Grande Prairie has an establishment that offers fine dining in a refined decor. read more

We tried this brand-new restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who claimed it to be one of his best GP dining experiences,but were sorely disappointed on our first visit. The wrong wine was brought 3 times (the staff didn't even know red from white) and each time we sent it back, it took 20 minutes for the next glass to be brought. My salmon filet was absolutely inedible - it was so charred it tasted like last night's campfire, and the "Waldorf salad" was nothing more than coleslaw from a bag with a couple of grapes tossed on top. The "meh" rating is only due to my husband's steak, which he claimed was very nicely cooked. I gave the restaurant a second chance at lunch time, and found it to be only "OK" (a rating agreed on by 5 friends), as the menu choices did not quite live up to their exotic-sounding descriptions. Perhaps they need a bit more time to polish up their service, so I will try again in a few months. As a side note, the decor is amazingly upscale, and worth a visit for that alone. read more

We tryed this restaurant last night and what a disappointment !!!! The service was terrible, the appetizers although all the same only two out of the four were complete and absolutely a zero for taste. The main course halibut with navy beans was also a zero on taste and did not pair even close on the plate together.The beans were under cooked and the fish was well over done to the point of a jerky state.The next plate we tryed was ragu with rib meat and again the pasta was under done and the meat was well, not even edible along with liner still attached to the rib meat !!!! Not pleasant at all !!! We all then had well maybe high hopes for a dessert that would make up for the constant disappointment we had experienced to this point. Desert was also a total zero !!!! The waitress had said fresh strawberries on ice cream dressed with a truffle, what we got was frozen canned strawberries on ice cream with bread pudding when we asked the server about the bread pudding she just said that is there spin on a truffle. This place needs to take there whole staff to some basic culinary school and start from scratch !!!! What a disappointment and waste of an evening. The owners should maybe have to taste and try what they are trying to sell to there quests. The menu is also very limited in choices to make. read more
