Located just a brief 10 min walk from the adorable Marina, it is centrally located with a gorgeous view of the water. There is always someone to open the door for you on your arrival and you're greeted with a gorgeous spacious entrance into the hotel. Service is great -- especially the cleaners for the room. They would visit my room twice a day to endure I had water, that my slippers with ready for me beside my bed, a little chocolate each night before bed... their attention to detail made me think they should train other teams in the world. The grounds are beautiful complete with a pool with a gorgeous water view, a highly rated fancy restaurant that won't break the bank, a good breakfast buffet, a state of the art gym, a spa, and very spacious rooms and bathrooms. This hotel was great for a work conference and they handled hundreds of people with ease. This is a great example of how a top tier hotel should be ran. Outstanding!

Just as advertised, this hotel was truly a five star experience and worth its high price tag. The…read morelobby itself was impressive and the customer service was fabulous. Not long after we checked in, we received little desserts waiting for us in our room. The bedding, the bathroom, the balcony views were absolutely spectacular. We truly loved the complimentary indoor spa, it was very relaxing. The restaurants also serve some amazing food and cocktails. For an extra charge, the hotel was able to provide us transportation from the airport; they even arranged private transportation to drop us off at our airbnb when we had to check out the next day. The transportation service was great and very informative, we wound up using them to take us to the Sintra one day during our trip. We unfortunately only stayed one night and I wish we stayed longer, my husband constantly talk about coming back here. Cascais is an absolute gem of a town and I highly suggest spending a night here if you are ever in the area.

I'm shocked there no reviews of this hotel--why? I loved our stay here! It's not an intimate…read moreboutique place; it's a full service hotel with all the amenities you'd want and expect from an international chain. What blew me away is that unlike many large chains, all the staff were very warm and friendly, not at all stiff or formal, not stuffy. It's a difficult balance, to be genteel and kind but also totally on top of your game, and this balance every single person we encountered during our 4 night stay, everyone was fantastic. The concierge, no matter who was on duty, always helpful, smiling and super responsive. The housekeeping staff also on top of everything. I loved their pillow menu, which had about 4 different choices of densities and sizes. On the morning of our checkout, because we had an early morning flight and couldn't go down to breakfast, they had a massive, complete breakfast sent up to our room, free of charge. Each morning the buffet, included in the price of our room, was extravagant and complete, everything from freshly baked breads and pastries to cereals and yogurts. All types of fresh fruit, hot entrees such as meats and eggs. Maybe it was the proximity to Spain or they might have artificially sweetened it, but this was hands down the sweetest, most glorious nectar of the gods orange juice I'd ever had. If they poured a vat of sugar in it, I don't care. Ignorance was truly bliss because I got to drink it by the gallon. This was my first introduction to what the Europeans call "coffee," which is more what we Americans term "espresso," and it was divine, especially with hot milk, which they always brought. The interior of the entire place was gilded and opulent, beautifully appointed marble bathrooms, tubs and showers. We had a fantastic view of the main square, sweeping vistas. The corridors carpeted with whooshing elevators and high end shops end to end on the ground floor. They have the requisite massage and fitness stuff as well and though we didn't use these, it gives you an idea of how full scale they are. The ornate architectural details were a treat, e.g. a winding, spiral staircase with graduated steps leading down from the lobby, carpeted in a blazing ruby, a Persian motif. The single best thing about this hotel? The customer service. I love love love how they managed to be warm and kind, sweet and friendly, not at all stuffy, they didn't put on fake airs, just real down to earth people--the hotel does justice to the beauty of the Portuguese people.
