The park itself is spacious and very well-maintained. There's the big playground, a splash pad (already turned on for the summer!), and the pavillion. If you've never gone to the market here (Saturdays 9am-2pm) you need to go. It's huge and Pioneer Park is the prettiest setting for it! My kids definitely love the playground but it does scare me. The structure here is SO HIGH. My toddler is a daredevil and loves to go to the top which terrifies me. They do have a smaller structure meant for toddlers that is great, but just note that if you have a child that is similar to mine, you might need to prepare for major anxiety. There is a good deal of parking nearby next to the library, but usually I get lucky with street parking not too far, too. I love the location of this park because it's so close to several coffee shops, an ice cream spot, and a few other delicious restaurants. Overall a great park to visit especially going into the summer.

It's nice having a community park that feels welcoming for everyone. Definitely one of our favorite spots to spend time outdoors with the kids. The only downside to it is the bathroom it can get messy and gross since it's open to the public so make sure to always go with your kids and double check your surrounding for random people going in. Other than that, it's always a fun trip whenever we go there for a short playtime or family picnic. Not to mention, they do have basketball court and a place to rent if you need gatherings for parties and such.

Cons: the lazy river I sustained an injury from because I was holding in the outside of my daughter's tube and my foot hit a large metal grate at the top.It hurt so so bad and I was limping after. When I came and told the staff they iced me up and wrapped up my toes. So that is something to definitely be careful of.

The park is also very large with plenty of grass, trees for shade, picnic tables, covered eating areas, and restrooms. This really is an ideal place to spend a few hours letting the little ones get some exercise and have a picnic if you wish. So why only a three stars you ask? The neighborhood is AWFUL!!!! It is full of rift rafts who congregate at this park at all hours. During the day your likely to run into teenagers skipping from near by high school and middle school and occasionally you get a few tweekers who lay on the benches or sit on the playground equipment talking to themselves. The teenagers are the worst of the bunch, they come to smoke cigs and be as vulgar as possible. They also use the equipment for drawing inappropriate pictures on as well as their own personal toilet (I have seen this more then once). It's really a shame cause like I stated earlier this is a great park that is just suffering because it is being overrun by delinquents.

Good walk lots of smells for her. We will come back. Plenty of parking. Good vibes, calm peaceful. Lots of people were out walking with their dogs, spouse and alone. It was a very good experience. I recommend this park. They also have a restaurant across the street for afterwards if interested. You can also see more of the water on the other side. I didn't go walking there, I drove over. Very beautiful. Sasha was not having that walk too close to the water lol.
