You can tell that the venue will have been either an old shop or old cottage at one point, given that there are two chimney breasts, one of which is still used and showcases a wonderful roaring open fireplace, which on cold winter days is a godsend, and warms you up pretty quickly! It's quite a small venue, and is no-frills in the decor and furnishing, but it makes up for it with tasty food, excellent value, and friendly down-to-earth customer service.
