This office staff is uneducated and unable to work properly with patients dealing with mental…read morehealth issues. The staff called me and told me that they were switching my meds without my approval and then instructed me to take an extended release pill 3 TIMES a day!!!!! Then I was told the doctor would call me. Instead someone from "downstairs" called me and told me that she'd hang up on me because I was upset... to which she did. They are ridiculous here. I have to call multiple times a month to reschedule their cancelled appointments, get refills on all of my meds (even the ones that are meant to be taken everyday non stop), to dispute charges, and to force them to run my insurance. They were going to charge me out of pocket when I have insurance because they couldn't figure out how to bill the visit. This went on for months!! Terrible place. The doctor is smart and seems to know what she's talking about but she lost all respect from me when she changed my meds without my approval or even knowledge and refused to call me to discuss. Even an on call employee told me to get away from this place!!! Please don't use this facility!!!!!

It is not possible to make an appointment with this office without filling out an extensive new patient intake form. 2. It is not possible to fill out this application online. The 10-12 pages of forms must be printed out, brought to the office or mailed. 3. When pressed the office will allow you to email to a gmail account. 4. Gmail is an unsecured email site and this is in violation of HIPPA protocol. 5. The overwhelming self satisfaction and pride of Dr. McCormack is obvious by the heading of his intake. On the form in bold lettering is the announcement that this intake form was developed by him, as though it is an innovative concept. 6. The form makes it apparent that this association is more interested in defining you as a person through selecting little boxes than it is by spending time talking to you. 7. The questions about religion are presumptive, there are listed a variety of Christian denominations, but no differentiation of other religions. It assumes that all persons of a designation are of the same beliefs. If you are not in those boxes, you are only given a choice of other, which would lump, atheists, agnostics, and personal spiritual beliefs in one category. 8. In spite of my accompanying my application with a letter asking for a phone call to make an appointment this office did not contact me. More than 10 days later I contacted them and was told that they could not accept my application because of notations I had made on the forms referring previously identical information. Such as name, address etc. No contact was made by this office to tell me that a decision had been made to reject my application. Because of this whole intake process, which led me to believe that this clinic did not value people as much as they valued bureaucracy and little boxes, I decided not to pursue any association with them.

Be aware that they do not offer adequate pain management for IUD insertion and removal…read more Recently they added the option to pay full-price for an oxygen-nitrous blend that you can huff during the procedure but it is an expensive distraction that is dependent on your ability to keep up with consistent deep breathing. It does not eliminate nor mask the pain, it just puts you in the clouds with the pain coursing through you, and if you stop huffing then you almost immediately come-to. I have been to practices elsewhere (other states I have liven in) where they give you cervical softening/numbing options (shot and/or suppository), hand you high-dose ibuprofen to take, use numbing cream, etc. None of this was offered except a generic ibuprofen recommendation was suggested, if I wanted to go buy some at the store, to help with the post-procedure cramping... If you're fine with that then go for it, their bedside manner is great and they were very sweet and kind, it's just the practice itself that doesn't prioritize pain management during these procedures. Additionally, the installation of an IUD requires a follow-up to verify placement and every time I have gotten a follow-up, the appointment included an ultrasound to verify placement. This practice ran this ultrasound through my insurance as an optional additional radiology instead of as part of the preventative care and I had to pay $600 for the follow-up. The billing department never answered the phone nor called me back to address the codes used when billing my insurance, and I will make it clear that I was not given an option to do this ultrasound but rather I was told it was being done as SOP for the IUD placement.

I have never left a negative review, but I don't feel like I can keep this experience to myself. I…read morehave only had a few visits with this practice, and every encounter has not been pleasant. Today, I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled time (as requested by the receptionist who confirmed my appointment). I walked out of the building 2 hours after I arrived. Interestingly enough, the actual consultation with the doctor was probably only 5 minutes. The wait time was beyond disrespectful and when I asked the front-desk worker if there was a reason, I was still in the waiting room 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, she was extremely rude and help no accountability for whatever was causing the delay. The first visit with this office, the provider committed insurance fraud by billing my insurance for a service I did not receive, which caused me to have to tackle the no-winning game of trying to get a billing receptionist on the phone. I work in medical and am a full-time student at UGA, working to pursue medicine as a career, and my experiences at this practice will be used as examples for my future as to what I hope my future patients never experience. I hope someone from the office contacts me because the standard of care this office is providing is disturbing.

I am SHOCKED by the lack of empathy these people have. To start off, this is not JUST about…read moreappointment availability or lack of customer service, my frustration is from my concern and the LACK of their concern for the well-being of my child. My child's pediatrician and psychiatrist wanted him to have a neuropsychological evaluation done to determine if he has a possible learning disability. I called in Jan and was scheduled for the end of March. I was also put on a "cancellation list" in hopes to be seen sooner since the results of this will help determine how we move forward. I called today to see if there was any cancellations and instead of being seen sooner, they informed us that he cant be seen in March because they scheduled him with the wrong doctor, put it down as the wrong type of visit, and the Dr hes scheduled with no longer takes his insurance so it would be out of pocket if we wish to reschedule for a later date. $1200+ out of pocket.... I asked to be rescheduled and they offered an AUGUST appointment with a different doctor. 5 months after his previous (now cancelled) appointment and 7 months after I first called to set up the appointment in Jan. I asked if the Doctor could possibly make an exception given the circumstances and was told that "the Dr actually isn't accepting new patients at all so were already making an exception by seeing him in August." Oh, and they offered to put me on a "cancellation list" which is what started this whole snowball effect in the first place. What a joke. After the way I was treated today I wouldn't trust them with my dog, much less my child.
