He listens attentively to every word I say and somehow makes sense out of what I've told him and gives me hope. I would have to rank him up in the highest level of psychologists/therapists. I am so much better than when I first walked into his office. He is kind, patient, and has insight and depth into what I share with him and for the first time in my life, has given me peace and real hope for my future. He has a way of explaining things to me that make me think in a more positive way about myself and the people around me. I just felt compelled to share my experience with this wonderful psychotherapist so that maybe someone else will read this and be encouraged and realize that no matter how bad or confusing the circumstances may be, there is hope. Apparently, she used to be a pastor and her knowledge of the Bible is extraordinary. However, when she encounters issues that are not favorably discussed in the Bible, her objectivity goes out the window. She can not relate to issues such as the LGBT community, gay marriage or transgender issues because they are not "biblically correct". she will try to "save your soul" rather than provide any realistic counseling on any issue that she has a prejudice against. Yes, she is a christian counsellor but she should not use the Bible to attack people if they do not bend to her ideal of what is appropriate behavior. she can not keep from being biased.

She was absolutely ok with our first session running over our alloted time and didn't try to rush is out the door which meant a lot! We are now able to argue and disagree without it turning into a full fledged blow out! My husband was able to relate some of his feelings and traits back to his childhood and understand why he often felt the way he did.
