After each operation, I went through physical therapy -- not the PT affiliated with the practice, but one closer to my home -- and I recovered to the point where I resumed playing racquetball and walking 10 - 12 miles each week within the time frame he had projected. Three years ago, I ruptured the Achilles tendon in my right leg. Dr. Reznik repaired that, too, and after PT, I again resumed my crazy schedule with competitive racquetball and fitness walking. I'm playing in a regional USA Racquetball tournament in MA this weekend, and when I walk, I use hand weights within tight time frames so I really press my knees. I've found that each time I've seen Dr. Reznik, he's taken the time to listen to what happened, how I feel, and the impact the injury has had on my activities. He also shares all the images with me and explains what he's seeing and why he's suggesting one course of treatment over another. Frankly, I was impressed one time that he suggested I NOT have surgery to see how the torn meniscus would feel after use and try to manage it with exercise and PT. It worked for some months, but I did eventually have surgery after I injured it again. I've found that he accurately described the recovery as well as the level of functionality and even discomfort I'd feel after various procedures. To sum it up, I'd highly recommend anyone with knee pain or lower leg injuries to seek out Dr. Reznik.

Even as a prior patient of Doctor Gibson beyond three years of seeing him last you are considered a new patient. Do not be fooled by a non-existent waiting list either, every time I called there to ask if there's been a cancellation they added me to it, nor the false hope of calling daily for a possible cancelation opening as you will learn below. I've had knee pain now for several months and I scheduled an appointment with Doctor Gibson for March of 2023, acquired in November of 2022. I've made numerous calls to try and obtain an earlier appointment due to a cancellation, as directed by Yale staff when I called to schedule my original appointment. I was advised to call daily by several people that schedule appointments. On December 19, 2022, I was told there was a cancellation in January of 2023. When the receptionist learned I was a new patient, I was told "Oh sorry, you're not eligible for this appointment as a new patient." A complete contradiction to what I was advised back in November and most every time I called. How can an open appointment not be available to a patient, whether that patient is new or existing!? As a result of a job that required a ridiculous amount of pushing furniture, carrying my office with me everywhere and not having a desk caused more damage than necessary. When a second shot of cortisone didn't work, Dr. Halim suggested I wear a brace to protect my wrist. In 2017 I found that surgery was the next step. I am no stranger to going under so I was fine with that. An MRI revealed arthritis as well so I was glad to be rid of it. After surgery I was in a cast followed by therapy. All one place, the doctors and nurses are professional and do their best to get you in and out quickly. Dr. Halim also has another office where appointments may be easier. She is kind and I am pain free.

I had never done physical therapy before and thought that my chronic pain had been present for so long that it would be impossible to improve it. I was matched with physical therapist Drew Coisson. During my first appointment, it was clear in his initial evaluation that he was extremely knowledgeable. He spent time assessing my shoulder and asking many questions to figure out exactly what was going on -- and he did! The care plan was easy to follow and track on their website, and every week I saw both my pain improving and my strength progressing.
