Thank you Nick!! We had such a nice time painting. Such a cool space and relaxing, creative atmosphere. I hope to be back soon!

I just attended the Pet painting class and it was super fun! My friend and I were a little nervous at first but found the instruction and guidance to be super helpful. I highly recommend taking a class at The Painted Cork.

A friend and I were visiting the area. I happened upon The Painted Cork webpage and booked a painting class. This was a little golden gem! I recommend anyone visiting the Santa Cruz area to give this a try!

    Paint your pet!

Kim has a lovely studio and I throughly enjoyed the Paint Your Pet class. Kim gave some great tips to help achieve the desired outcome.

Super fun--we had a great work holiday party, painting pets Warhol-style. Highly recommended, and I plan on returning.

We had the privilege of being his students for two sessions while visiting from Orange County, California. We completely enjoyed being in his studio while we quickly learned skills in observation, sketching and shading. We were thrilled with our drawings and will return when back in the area. In addition to learning while having fun, we also appreciated the ease and accuracy of the website and Rob's responsiveness to us as we checked out the Scribbles Institute. He is an artist and an excellent communicator that facilitated our decisions on classes as well as our own expressions of ourselves as artists. It was a lovely experience and I'd recommend Rob and The Scribbles Institute to any age and anyone.

I have never seen my students more engrossed in what they're doing. He has the ability to take "non-drawers" and bring them through a series of exercises that allow them to find their artistic confidence in no time; at the same time he has no trouble keeping very artistic students challenged. His peaceful demeanor helps create a safe and quiet work space that is so much needed in today's society. His studio in the Sash Mill has the same feeling to it. Students are now going down there to draw on the weekends!

They were good with communication, met us at the top of the dock promptly, welcomed us onboard, laid out the trip plan, kept the boat on a very level keel, calmly set the foresail on a comfortable tact, was social but unobtrusive as we shared memories, songs and released my brothers ashes and flowers into the beautiful bay. He then offered us a bag of rose petals to cast in and gently followed the trail of flowers so we could be with my brothers ashes longer. A real pro. When we returned to the dock, Joe provided us with a personalized memory card with my brothera name and the coordinates of where we released him. He did a great job of a very comfortable ride for all us in slightly uncomfortable conditions. We now have lovely memories of our shared send off. Thank You both very much. Suzanne and family

I had to postpone our first attempt and rescheduled one week after. Scott or Krista sent us the detailed email message. It was very helpful. Mike was the skipper. He was very nice and polite. He did the Naval bell ringing. He brought some roses. First, I let go off the Urn while both of us scattered the roses we brought. He brought yellow roses. I took Red rose petals. After we scattered them, we were able to see and follow the Urn with the red rose petals and the bright yellow roses closer to the Urn. He navigated the boat very gently and able to see the Urn. The morning was quiet, sunny and calm. It was extremely calm during the entire time, he navigated around the Urn, getting closer to the floating Urn. It was calming me to see her floating surrounded by flowers. My mother was slowly but surely sinking. I watched her floating, while Mike took few photos and sent them to me. Mike also honored my mother with "Naval Bell Ringing". It was a very nice, beautiful, sunny and calm morning for my mom to be floating on the ocean water. Thank you, Mike, Scott and Krista for sailing my mother and me to the Sea and sharing the most precious moments in our lives.
