My son & I recently stopped in for a couple of luggage tags; we found a small variety of options for a reasonable price. The attractive, neat shop also stocks health and beauty items, candy and regional gifts. As most of these shops have a limited staff, we had to wait a few minutes to pay for our items.

It's really my guilty pleasure. I'm pretty happy with some of the recent format changes to the paper. Now, the newspaper is divided into two main sections: news and life/entertainment. I use the term "news" loosely, because we're not talking hard hitting journalism here. Pretty much just informative articles about county government happenings and other local civic activities. The "Life" section of the paper is filled with human interest puff pieces, but when you know the people who are featured the stories become more engaging. I wouldn't really recommend this paper to someone who was from out of town, since so much of the content is directed toward residents. If you like to go to garage sales (which is another of my voyeuristic guilty pleasures), the Recorder contains the listings for all Community Press newspapers in Greater Cincinnati. Overall, the Recorder isn't going to win any Pulitzer prizes but it's the number one choice for keeping tabs on your neighbors.

They always have some selection of books, toys, health and beauty, flooring, bedding, shelf stable foods, home decor... Some items are great deals, others not so much. This location is one that carries appliances. The appliance selection is generally small. On one visit the appliances were high end, and half off what Lowe's or Home Depot would sell them for. On my last visit, the appliances were all older, dented, base models. If you see something you are interested in, buy it. Do not wait. It is hard to know how long something will be there. I once waited a week, and when I came back the items was completely sold out. Ollie's has a rewards program. The program gives points for every dollar you spend. These points add up to rewards. For comics/trades/graphic novels, they have a huge collection of older books and new releases. I always like going into Half Price Books and shopping. I don't read a lot anymore but I like to…read moretake a look at the magazines and check to see if they have any I like. I like art, journaling, and any older magazines that I can use to collage with. I usually look through the art section, cooking section, and the sale section. They also have calendars available. The last time I was in I found some art journal magazines that are $25 new for just a few bucks, you cannot beat that. They also buy books and magazines so if you have any to sell they always have someone at the counter to check them in and then they call your name over the intercom when the have an offer for you. They have record albums and some games as well. Stop in and take a look because you never know what you will find.

I give Half Price Books a 3 star because there not open long enough. It's not that hard to sell…read morebooks and dvds. Half Priced Books Has an obligation to the people to have have longer store hours. I'd suggest 9am to 10pm. There schedule they have now is too short and honestly pathetic.
