They also offer all props you could need at no extra cost. When you show up, it's at a (former?) church in the basement level. There's space to hang coats and leave shoes, and you sign in on a clipboard by the door. The space itself is warm and inviting with dark wooden floors. I've been to four so far and really recommend this studio. He promotes safety by requiring everyone take a Foundations class where he teaches you the basic moves and things such as squat mechanics. It's way better than throwing you into a class with risky form. As a fellow movement professional, safety and form is high priority for me. He also puts together well balanced exercises. Many group fitness classes I've attended don't incorporate all muscle groups (just working the "beach body muscles" you can see in the mirror), and he goes through a wide range of muscle groups in each class. Christian is a very good spirited and fun person. He will kick your butt with good instruction. 30 minutes is perfect for this high intensity interval training type class. It's the perfect length, too. I can just pop over and not feel like I've had to sacrifice my entire evening exercising/bored on a treadmill. I bought a Groupon to save money and will buy some full priced classes afterwards. I'm thrift oriented, so that says something about the quality!

I canceled during the holidays and decided to come back only to find out a much cheaper rate that I could have been paying in the past 9 months. I had no idea! And I looked online as well at their class options. This was not offered as an option. Also, it sucks that you can't put your membership on hold! My baby was sick and we couldn't come for 2-3 weeks but I still had to pay $94 for that month! Come on! The gym seems behind in technology and they should educate their attendees better about the membership options. My baby loves coming to class here. The crawlers yoga is very fun! Songs, playing, sounds and communicating with other toddlers.

They have created a community in this studio for women and children, have childcare, and allow you to come and go as you please. They even often classes where you are encouraged to bring your baby and either practice yoga/barre, feed, or even sit and close your eyes. The space is truly yours to do what is calling to you. That part I love, love, love. Now for what I don't love. Unfortunately the atuis a little small and the yoga mats they provide are a little.... worn and torn. But mostly, I have felt a bit intimated going there. Many of the instructors and women practice eastern/holistic practices which I think is absolutely great! I have so much respect for that. But I didn't feel respected for my choice to practice western care- especially when it comes to child birthing. Maybe it was this one instructor- and I am not giving them a fair chance? But I felt daggers for being a suburban, working mom and who had a western childbirth. And that is not welcoming. Also- I wish the studio had mirrors to work on form. I think there are a lot of great concepts here and with minor tweaks can get there!

Parking can be tricky at times, they have designated spots in the parking lot but those tend to fill up fast. There are plenty of meters close by but also free parking a block or so away. I tend to park for free on the side streets which is about a 5 minute walk. Overall a great gym to be a part of!

The instructors are great at informing students on exactly what they are doing in each pose. They have a heated room (which is the room I love, the hotter the better). But if the heat is not your think, they have multiple classes per day in the unheated room & evening classes that are low heat in the heated room. They have a full fridge of different cold pressed juices, cbd & thc beverages! The parking lot can get full quickly with AM classes, but the staff is great about giving other parking options like in the Popeyes parking lot!

I get much of my exercise in my home gym and outside when it's nice, but MN winters are not nice. It's hell out there. If you feel the same, you should checkout this place. I was browsing Groupon fitness deals and found Shape Me Group Fitness and went on their site to find out what classes they offer. There's a good variety from Zumba, Turbo Kick, Latin Hip Hop, Mat Pilates, Yoga etc. I went through with my purchase. I was nervous my first time, I went with a Zumba class. All of the instructors are really nice and don't make you feel like a beginner. They make it a point to let you know that no one cares what you look like doing it as long as you're doing it correctly and not injuring yourself. They want to make sure you're getting a good workout, and you're having fun. Which was great because I totally thought I had the moves down, then looked at myself in the mirror and I'm pretty sure I was just running in place and flailing my arms around. It doesn't matter though because everyone else is too busy keeping up, they're not watching you. The classes are always filled with a decent amount of people. You always have room, but you're never looking around like "dang I'm the only person in the mirror." The studio is a good size and you have clear views of the instructor. It's very clean, and there are bins for your personal belongings. My favorite classes so far have been Zumba in the Circuit with Ritzy. It's one minute of Zumba and one minute of machine for 50 minutes. Good stuff. Ritzy is super energetic and motivating, take one of her classes! Turbo Kick with Bao it really good too. I've learned I need to practice kicking higher. I'd never win in a kick off. Dani also works you hard in Zumba, but you feel great about your workout afterwards. All in all you won't be disappointed with any of the instructors here! P.S. For my male friends, there are men there too. Don't be shy!

Rather than being part of a chain, it's a family business, with owner Ritzy teaching many of the classes. If you have a question or a suggestion, she is always available to talk. The instructors always invite you to talk with them after class. The instructors really set the tone for relations among the customers. Their kindness and equal treatment of all means that there's no snobby competition among the students. I've seen everyone from slim, toned model types to plenty of chunky gals like me to people who are badly out of shape and only able to participate for a few minutes at a time. There is a lot of ethnic diversity, too. The studio is clean and comfortable, the cost is reasonable, and there is ample parking. The only downside is that there is not a dressing room, although there is a bathroom where you can change if you need to.

I didn't know what to expect but I was excited because this was going to be different than floor pilates. I went to the 30min intro class to just try it out. We got some introduction and hopped on. The resistance was super easy, but what I didn't know is I would feel it later, lol. Dana was so great and because of her I'm considering the 8 pack/month pass. The manager was welcoming and they don't pressure you at the end of class to sign up. The class speaks for itself. If you've ever wanted to try reformer go to this location when Dana is teaching for the free (can't beat free) intro class. Even though it was only 30mins I still felt it the next day, in a good way.
