He was easy to get in touch with anytime we had questions or needed anything. He has great tools that makes communicating must play songs, timelines, names for announcing and every other detail that he needs for your day. We had him for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and he was there very early to set everything up and transitions between all three were seamless. For the reception, we only had about 5 songs that we said we wanted played and gave him free reign to feel out the crowd and choose songs that would keep people dancing. He was great at getting everyone involved and on the dance floor with fun things like maracas and tambourines. The dance floor was packed from the moment it was opened up to the minute we had to leave. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend getting DJ Garry to dj your wedding!

Arcade Comedy is an amazing gem in the heart of Pittsburgh's Cultural District (downtown). It's BYOB with a $5 corking fee and hey, that's fine with me. It's all about supporting local talent & believe me, the 'Burgh has plenty. Intimate theater and truly not a bad seat in the house. Show tickets are very affordable. They have performances for everyone from improv & standup to sketch and more. It's crazy how much I've laughed at shows. Best way to spend a day or evening. Staff are super rad. They keep it up really well and make sure that it is clean for every show. They also keep the chandeliers clean and the paint updated. The ushers are always helpful and the staff at the concessions are nice too. We have seen so many wonderful Broadway Shows and concerts there with so many talented performers. We're so lucky to have such amazing talent and so many amazing shows come to Pittsburgh every year. We're also starting to get some of the most popular and current shows from Broadway. The concerts are so much better there since it's a small venue and most seats are good seats. They have artists from all different genres which is nice too. We have also seen some good comedians there too. If you want to see a good show then you should see it at the Benedum.

This fun sculpture is in front of what used to be the Toonseum, so I honestly originally thought it…read morewas related to that space. When the spot closed (ages ago, unfortunately) and the sculpture remained, I decided to find out more about it. It turned out it had nothing to do with that museum and instead is intended to honor the musical legacy of Pittsburgh. I love the quirky style and oversized nature of the sculpture. It is a perfect spot for a photo, but the space behind it is private property, so be aware of that when looking at it.

I was walking down Liberty Avenue in the Cultural District, and I did not expect to see this…read morebeautiful and fun art: the Liberty Avenue Musicians! In 2003, artist James Simon built these three 15-foot jazz musicians and dog. He sculpted them in clay and cast them in concrete. They pay homage to the city's musical legacy. They are in front of a courtyard and private residence, so a sign warns visitors to not walk past the sculptures and block the entryway. I spent only seconds of time here and snapped a quick photo. I recommend walking past when you are in the area.
